So you want to talk about sanctification. This is good. I have a question. Do we look to the law of moses to find obedience? Or do we look to the law of Love to find obedience? I agree. the ten commands are not done away, they are still sin.. But do you agree I can keep all of them...

Agreed, God said we should be baptized so we should this thread however is about those who say faith plus baptism (and in the case of some, other works) are required to be saved. in my view that’s another gospel. Which Paul made clear is not a gospel at all.

The issue is when you do not out of appreciation and love, but in order to receive. When you do something to recieve your doing it in The flesh, this is bot a good work, this is called self righteous works

All we can do is pray.

Nope You have it backwards..

Great series. I have not started season 2 yet.

One thing I learned which helped alot is called historical context. In other words. The people who the passage was written to and for. What would they think, Historical perspective. What was going on in the society which may have caused the things said to be said. I know we want to try to...

The way I see it, there are many denomination. But in reality only three main groups. 1. Licentious. - Believe that we can say a sinners prayer and we have eternal life no matter what. No focus on christian growth or christian living. 2. Grace - Believe in salvation by Grace alone through...

No Your just not interpreting it correctly The passages you give do not debunk the ones mailmandan gave. Yet if we interpret them the way you do. there is a huge contradiction.

Your right, I am glad we agree. However, You keep insisting obedience is required. So that is a contradiction. all I am doing is asking you about what you are saying You say we are not justified by obedience (works) yet if we are not obedient (works) we will not be saved. Your the one wiht...

There is no difference. Justified means to be declared righteous or innocent of any wrong doing. Considering the law condemns us and the penalty of sin is death. The fact we are justified means we are saved. How can you claim you are saved by Grace if you have to work to maintain that...

Oh boy so I am not justified by works but if I do not do them I will not get to heaven (be justified) which is it? Is it grace or is it works? once again, I am not discussing christian growth, or what a true child of God does, I am discussing what must be done to be saved, (get to heaven)

if you say so. I tried. Good day sir

lol.. The only History I trust is the word of God. It was inspired. Non of the stuff you just posted is expired.

Nope If water is required there will be alot of Gods people in hell.. Included many of his prophets.

In which way? In the romans 6 way? God took me back 2000 some years and baptized me into Christ.

Yep The baptism of God.. Not water baptism.. Which is a command. But NOT part of the gospel.

John 3:5. Show me the word baptize Titus 3:5. Washing and renewal of the Holy Spirit. There is no water in that verse it is god doing the washing and new birth

I gave you the verse I baptize in water he will baptize with the Holy Spirit water baptism Is Not the same as spirit baptism we are back at square 1 again

Nope I did not omit anything. I just posted what John said. Is it your bias that you can’t show Me where the word baptize is in the verses I posted? oh and Ps. I did fully believe and because of it I was baptized by God himself. So mark 16 was fulfilled in me I later as a new disciple was...
