In the eyes of another who disagrees it is good that you admit that. But, then again all of us have personal beliefs. "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Prov 21:2 So who is it that agrees with God? God does know the answer in every case. In some...

I am more to the application than to the setting of rules. The rules were set in the OT through Moses and they did not work. Joshua and Caleb of the adults alone made it into the Promised Land, but it was not, I believe, because they kept the rules perfectly. Rather it was because their hearts...

My wife was feeling much better today so she made us some Swedish Meatballs, one of my favorites.

Since at the time of the writing of the scriptures the leading brothers were usually Jews, it is not unreasonable or unexpected for the prophets to be Jews as well. For me the Book of Acts alone is an unfinished book which continues to be written in the lives and testimonies of saints who have...

I will not. To name anyone that I believe was or is in such a position would only be my word here in any case unless God wanted to establish it for me. The ones I could or would name if I were willing would be men who have lived or are living in my lifetime as a man of flesh. Sometimes we...

Yes, I agree with regard to the growing numbers of those sects, but consider how many were saved out of Egypt how many of those continued all the way into the Promised Land. The number was few... only two among those who were adults leaving Egypt. Few, but not zero. Was all the truth lost when...

The OT as people who read the Bible very much and love God may already know is full of types of shadows, but so is the NT. All of the shadows are shadows of the real thing, as the sacrificial lambs in the OT are types and shadows of Jesus. The sabbaths of the OT are also shadows of Jesus in the...

Read first the following words of David: "Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in...

Man has a record of failure in any time of which I am aware. But God has always had a plan in which men are a part. What part each one plays in the plan is really up to the man. A man can be a part of the Right hand or not so choosing he may find himself without knowing it to be a part of the...

My own view of a prophet is simply that he is a man who speaks God's Word. This may or may not include predictions of the future. Prophecies in scripture did not always include predictions... although I guess the accuracy my statement would depend upon what a prediction really is. I agree that...

So do I my friend. I just wish that I were always as faithful as He would like for me to be. Pretenders? Yes, there are those, but are there not also among us today those with the gifts as per...? "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and...

That little verse I quoted from Proverbs [29:18] is an important one that, I believe, undergirds I Cor 13:12. We need the eyes to see in order to have the vision and those eyes are NOT the little physical orbs located on our faces on either side of the nose and below the forehead. Without the...

But... if Jesus is the Sabbath, the place of Rest, should we be resting in Him only one day of each week rather than at all times on all days? "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in...

@Butterfly LOL, I see that you have jumped right into the middle of one of the hot spots.

Quoting from the Bible: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 Jesus says that He is the Truth, yet, if He is, why is everyone not walking in Him? Many did not recognize him for what he was. Among those who did...

Sometimes when we get too wrapped up in our own ways and things, we forget that their are those over us according to Go who need to be encouraged. Hold their hands up when they get weary!

Thank you for that twinc. At times you are really surprising.

When I was still working as a Social Security Claims Representative and of course much younger I had an opportunity to go to work in the private sector in insurance earning a lot more money. Sales was the problem for me. I dealt with people and their Social Security benefit checks as well as...

Too many people are more concerned with all of the little rituals and the refinement of the definitions of their little quirks of belief differences than they are with the real Good News which Jesus brought. I'll be praying for you and your son on this.

@Angelina Thank you for posting that testimony. Indeed, give God the glory for the son's healing, but even more so for bringing the man out of the darkness into the Light.
