    QUOTE for the day

"The person who understands the evil in his own heart is the only person who is useful, fruitful, and solid in his beliefs and obedience. Others only delude themselves and thus upset families, churches, and all other relationships. In their self-pride and judgment of others, they show great...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I'm sorry, but I just have to ask. Have you personally achieved this sinless perfection of which you speak? Or know anyone other than Christ who has? If so, was it sustainable? I've had some really great days in the Lord, have been graced with much victory over sin, and fought my way upon...

    God Commands Righteous Violence

It would seem that the "kill your neighbor" thread is still alive and well. It would also seem that those promoting such blasphemies have not yet purged the world of evil, or even began the process. What's the hold up guys? Plenty of evil still out there. Better get busy. Or maybe this...

    Write it on your calendar

But these self professed experts often make the claim that God "revealed" to them what they are teaching. Or that the Word clearly says this or clearly says that. And many of them have no problem damning you to hell if you disagree with them. Sounds quite a bit like a false prophet to me.

    Write it on your calendar

Just curious Matthias, would you place those who are convinced that they have "rightly divided" the word of God in regards to eschatology as false prophets as well? There are a great many opinions on display in this forum, with a wide variety of conclusions being offered. And it would seem...

    Write it on your calendar

They seem rather convinced. Not sure I would call them liars. Fools seems more appropriate, but I shy away from that word as well. One of these days one of these date setters will be correct. Tomorrow works for me, but yeah, maybe I should get on that laundry.

    Speaking With the Homeless

Not all of the homeless ended up that way through alcohol or drugs etc. As you surely know. Many of them simply fell through the cracks, lost job, totaled car, raise in the rent or other unforseen expenses. And many more of them were led there by God, to come out of the system and trust Him...

    Write it on your calendar

I was thinking of doing laundry today. But if Jesus is returning tomorrow, I might just put that off for a minute.

What Is Important to You to Do before You're Gone?

I don't know how much time I have left. But I have been praying that a door would open up where I could devote the rest of my life to ministry, particularly to children.

    QUOTE for the day

"Son, the first drop of rain is God's fault, every drop after that one is your own darn fault." Grandpa It took me a decade or so after his passing to finally realize that he wasn't speaking about the weather.

    QUOTE for the day

I remember watching Pastor Rogers on the TV with my grandparents as a child. Such a wise gospel preacher.

    Flat Earth Theory

If they aren't awake by now? Biblical cosmology and other rabbit holes, would seem to have the most appeal with those lost sheep who have not yet found their way home. People who are sincerely seeking Truth, have a way of coming face to face with Christ at some point in their journey

    The hardest command to obey?

Did you even take the time to read my reply? I'm not laughing at you Pete, but thanks for the chuckle. I'm gonna crawl into my sleeping bag with a smile on my face this evening Keep spreading that joy

    The hardest command to obey?

I'm not sure what this particular passage of scripture has to do with homelessness, there are an abundance of ways to express the love of Christ, as we are moved by the Spirit of Christ, to our neighbor, and especially to our brethren. I wouldn't have any trouble offering a spare bed to a...
