    Who’s words are these?

You haven’t learned yet to distinguish between Jewish monotheists.

    Crusades Began with Reconquista

“As followers of Jesus, we will keep on singing: ‘We’re not going to study war anymore.’ But we will study and be about the things that make for peace.” (Dale W. Brown, Biblical Pacifism, p. 168) The final word in his book. It’s a banger.

    Who’s words are these?

Not so. As I’ve demonstrated elsewhere, there is nothing in the passage which contradicts his / their / my monotheism.

    Who’s words are these?

“John is as undeviating a witness as any in the New Testament to the fundamental tenet of Judaism, of unitary monotheism (cp. Rom. 3:30; James 2:19). There is the one true and only God (John 5:44; 17:3); everything else is idols (1 John 5:21). In fact nowhere is the Jewishness of John, which has...

    Who’s words are these?

Did Jesus teach strict Jewish monotheism? AI Overview - “Yes, historical and biblical scholars agree that the historical Jesus lived and taught as a strict Jewish monotheist who worshipped the one God of Israel. …” Not true, says my adversary. Readers must decide for themselves.

    Who’s words are these?

You: Christianity is not a monotheistic religion. Me: Christianity is a monotheistic religion. My advice: Ask other Christians whether or not they believe Christianity is a monotheistic religion.

    Who’s words are these?

Example: “The Apostle John was a monotheist until…” = dead giveaway. Truth: The Apostle John was, is, and always will be a monotheist.

    Who’s words are these?

Your posts are a mixture of truth and error. There are monotheistic Jews who condemned him (the majority) and monotheistic Jews who commended him (the minority.) He himself is a monotheistic Jew.

    Crusades Began with Reconquista

Do you read Catholic authors? (I do.) Do you know who Thomas Merton was? (I do. He lived near where I currently reside.)

    Crusades Began with Reconquista

“Francis of Assisi represented an otherworldly counterforce to the papacy. Yet his mystical relationship with God through reverence for nature, creatures, and humanity exhibited the foremost example of Christian pacifism in the Middle Ages.” (Dale W. Brown, Biblical Pacifism, p. 150)

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

“Peace is a central theme in the biblical narrative and is often depicted as a hallmark of God’s Kingdom. The concept of peace in the Bible transcends mere absence of conflict; it encompasses a holistic sense of well-being, harmony, and reconciliation with God and others. … Peace, as a marker...

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Is that what Yahweh, the prophets, Jesus and the apostles intended? Is that what fractured and fragmented Christianity has delivered?

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

“The passage in Romans 5 [verses 8 and 10] stresses that people usually will not die for their enemies. But the text raises a question. Do we really believe in our hearts that God had forgiven us while we were still enemies of God and the Jesus way? If so, we will joyously be about loving our...
