Thanks. Some of our readers may find that helpful.

I’m not sure but there may be Bible reading plans that cover reading only Paul’s epistles in some specified period of time or reading plans that could be modified for that purpose. Do you know of or have such a plan developed that you could share with our readers?

“Here’s the ‘Finish the Bible in a Year Plan That You Dropped In February.’ Dec. 29: Leviticus 3 - Ezekiel 48 Dec. 30: Daniel 1 - John 21 Dec. 31: Acts 1 - Revelation 22” https://x.com/chrchcurmudgeon/status/1873429473758269702?s=61 This is a humorous poke at Bible reading plans. People tend...

I don’t see any interruption. My understanding is that the one and only gospel - the gospel of God - will be preached throughout the world to all peoples until the Messiah returns.

Paul has pointed out that there is only one gospel. Any other supposed gospel is contrary to to the one. This cements in my mind that the gospel preached by Jesus and all of the apostles, including Paul, is the one gospel. Paul is right, there is only one gospel. It is to be believed by those...

I agree. The old covenant was being taught by some and not only did that disturb Paul, it was contrary to the gospel that he preached. The important thing for our conversation is not to equate the gospel of the kingdom preached by Jesus and the other apostles with “another gospel” contrary to...

We should pair this with Mark 1:14-15. This establishes for me that the gospel of the kingdom preached by Jesus and the apostles is the gospel that Paul preached, the one gospel of God. Does that sound reasonable to you?

@Doug will you walk through Galatians 1:6-9 with me? “I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ for a different gospel; …” (Galatians 1:6, NASB) Is the “different gospel” Paul is alluding to the gospel of the kingdom that Jesus and the other...

So all of the apostles understood exactly the same thing Paul understood. What are the “many other words”?

The sower sows -> the word of the kingdom (Matthew 13:19) The sower sows -> the word (Mark 4:14) The sower sows -> the word of God (Luke 8:11)

“May the Lord cause his Word to prove its power in us by its making us fruitful unto every good work to do his will.” - Charles Spurgeon

In just a few minutes of conversation we managed to set a good example for our readers. Setting the table with peace doesn’t guarantee that anyone will become persuaded - in full or in part - but it lowers the wall, lessens our urge to dig in our heels, opens our ears, softens our hearts, and...

I’m not a vegetarian but now you’ve made a friend. You have my attention and I want to hear more of what you have to say. That’s a win - win.
