@Johann I asked you a question in post #81 that you didn’t answer in post #85. The question: “If I asked you to hold up echad finger, would you hold up one finger or more than one finger?” You don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to. This isn’t the Spanish Inquisition. If you had asked...

@Johann I’m sorry about the light editing that I did to your post. Your post was too large; it contained too many characters. When I replied to it the system wouldn’t let me post due to there being too many characters. I also deleted a few of my responses in order to reduce the total number of...

I can’t and don’t speak for all “Anti-Trinitarians” and as a Jewish monotheist nothing you’ve written has sent me scurrying for the shadows. I’ll eventually be commenting on the Greek words hen and heis. It’s an important distinction that I have to use against trinitarians and unitarians in my...

I’m not playing a word game here or anywhere else. One means one, not more than one. It works the same way in Hebrew as it does in English, or in any other language. The Messiah’s God is one person, not more than one person. The Messiah’s God is echad, not yachid. Yachid occurs a dozen times...

I see. It wouldn’t alter the way I would handle it. Together or apart, I would worship both. The only one whom I would worship as God would be the Father. That’s an interesting thought. When we see and hear the Son, we see and hear the Father in him. If we were to ask the person we were...

It isn’t the Trinity, and it isn’t the Son. Unless we are willing to say that the Holy Spirit is a third person who is God, that leaves only one person, the Father. Would the trinitarians dare say that it is the Holy Spirit? I don’t think so, even at this level of conversation. I’ve never had...

Yes. The Messiah’s God, Yahweh (the deity title, Adonai, is used here rather than the tetragrammaton, God’s personal name) is at the Messiah’s right hand, as well as at the right hand of others. The Messiah is backed by Yahweh. When the unbelieving Jews asked Jesus where he got his authority...

Psalm 110:1 ensures in my mind the correctness of your assertion.

I would handle that circumstance as it was handled in 1 Chronicles 29:20; David being a type of the Son. David and the Father (Yahweh) were both worshipped, and no one confused David with Yahweh.

It is true and monotheistic Jews didn’t kill the only begotten Son of ... Who is God? The pagan Romans killed Jesus, at the request amd insistence of unbelieving Jewish monotheists; not at the request of believing Jewish monotheists. Jesus the Jewish monotheist conversing with Jewish...

If I could prove from the scriptures that echad is numerically 1, would the trinitarians become persuaded? While I wait for a trinitarian response, I’m reminded of Justin Martyr. Trinitarians are fond of claiming him as one of their own. This is the apologist who says in his writings that God...

Every passage of scripture is consistent with the Messiah’s Jewish monotheism.

Jewish monotheism is one in number. Trinitarianism isn’t one in number; it is one in essence. Number vs. essence. Isn’t that something we can all agree on? It should be.

Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, the Son of God, was, is, and will always be a Jewish monotheist. His God is only one person, the Father. That will never change or cease being true. We all know that a person whose God is only one person is a unitarian.

To the only God our Savior

The prophets, the Messiah, the apostles, the earliest Christians are all Jewish monotheists. Some Jewish monotheists saw, heard, understood, repented and were forgiven. The apostles are prime examples of this. Most Jewish monotheists saw but didn’t see, heard but didn’t hear, didn’t understand...

I’m a primitive Christian now but there was a time when I was a trinitarian. I once offered the same understanding to others that you are now offering to me. When I see Father, Son and Spirit in close proximity I see a triad, not the Trinity.

Counting to ten in Hebrew. The print in the chart is small but readable. The numeral 1 is echad. Listen to her count to 10 in Hebrew. When she pronounces the numeral 1 she clearly says echad, not yachid. Yahweh alone, by himself, is the 1 true God in the Bible.

To the only God our Savior

I believe Jesus’ affirmation of the Shema shows us that he is a Jewish monotheist, that his elohim is singular, the one God, his Father. Echad can modify a collective noun. For example, one team. There is no plurality in “one”, the plurality is found in “team”. Echad is the numeral 1. It is...
