Is global warming a preview of hell?

Could it be? P.s. Nice to be back. How is everyone?

    Bible is not important

No scripture is that important, God isn't contained in a book. Scripture is just a good guide, nothing more. Don't let's create an idol out of it. Conscience is the one and infallible guide. People who value the bible more than conscience are religious fanatics, no different from Islamic...

    Arminian preachers today?

Shalom, Are there any Arminian preachers today that one can listen to on youtube? There are many Calvinists like Washer, Piper etc., so I want to listen to the other side of the story, so to speak. Thanks, Elysian

    A Christian is sinless

A Christian is sinless in the sense that he will never commit sin born of malice. But there are sins born of the weaknesses of flesh ... such sins will continue all through life. This is the reason for the apparent contradiction in John. Discuss.

    I give up on Christ

Satan has won. He's given me one blow after another, and christ did nothing to protect me. I give up. Christ is unreliable and impotent.

    Joining a monastery

Shalom, Is it possible to join a monastery? Is there such a concept in Christianity, or is it only in buddhism? Thanks, Elysian

    Are we created to work?

When God created Adam, he made him work. Does that mean we're supposed to be doing something at all times? Is it our nature? Does God want it that way?

    The bible is so boring

I find it hard to read anything other than the 4 gospels, everything else seems boring, especially the OT. Could I just stick to the gospels and ignore everything else?

    Repentance and forgiveness

We repent and God forgives. Must we expect others to repent before we forgive them?

    Is islam demonic?

Is God using Islam to hasten the end times? Is that the sole purpose of Islam? Their savior 'maadi' corresponds to the Christian idea of Antichrist.

Did Satan do a good thing?

Not much mention is made of Satan. Genesis starts with the fall of A and E, only the serpent is mentioned. Just who is Satan? Assuming he was the serpent, did he actually do a good thing by tempting A and E to acquire knowledge? I mean, knowledge is a good thing, right? A and E were ignorant...

    God hates us!

God the Father hates sin, so he hates us and wants to destroy us. He destroyed Sodom for its sin. He is so righteous that he can't tolerate sinners in his midst. He wants to destroy us, but because the Son took the punishment on our behalf, he has spared us. Goes on to show that Father is...

    Invasion for Christ's sake

Suppose a nation invades another country to spread the gospel, would that be okay? I mean, such an invasion could Christianize pagans quickly and effectively. A Christian Afghanistan is better than an Islamic Afghanustan, right? Discuss.

Is Satan responsible when ppl sin?

Why blame ppl for committing sin when it's Satan who's making them do it? Satan's very name means tempter, and because he's powerful and humans weak, the latter find it hard to resist him. Not making excuses, but I honestly can't believe that a person could commit a sadistic murder of his own...

Is it okay to imagine God?

Or is it idolatry? Picturing the passion of the lord, that is.

    Why is homosexuality a sin?

Instead of men and women, it's men and men or women and women. Why is that sinful? I can understand murder, rape etc. being sinful because they involve hurting others. But how is homosexuality sinful when no one gets hurt?

    Everything happens by God's will

This may frighten the proud, but it gives hope and comfort to the humble. Why is that so? Well, let's discuss.

    When to judge people?

There's been a lot of confusion/debate on this forum about judging and not judging. I believe we must avoid extremes, meaning we can (and I use the word 'can' tentatively) judge when the person concerned is hurting others willfully and without the prick of conscience. Else, we have no right to...

    Is faith necessary?

Suppose you commit a crime and I take the blame for you. I am punished, you're saved. My sacrifice has saved you, period. Even if you hate me, have no faith in me, you're still saved by my sacrifice. And Jesus died for our sins....

    Committing murder

What if a person commits murder after he's saved? Will he go to heaven (because he's saved), or will he go to hell because he's committed murder? If the latter, doesn't it mean that Jesus's sacrifice couldn't save him and that the man had to depend on his own morality to be saved?
