    Catholicism v. Protestantism

Thankfully, I have been baptized! Appreciate your comment. I too have held the understanding that baptism of the Spirit can be separate from baptism by water.

    Catholicism v. Protestantism

Thank you for your comment. Apologies if I have rehashed once discussed topics - I am new here. If you have time to answer a few questions, I would appreciate it. No snark here, just genuine curiosity. What exactly differentiates "works" from "works of the law"? I am not sure I have heard...

    Catholicism v. Protestantism

Thank you very much for your comment. I appreciate your prayers and will do the same. I grew up in church and have remained a believer since adulthood, but reading different views on these topics now that I am older has confused me and caused me to question my own beliefs, so I appreciate the...

    Salvation and repentance

I find it hard to believe every person doesn't willfully sin at some point in their life even after becoming a follower of Christ. I also think one can willfully sin and be repentant after. I don't think sin is evidence of unbelief because it would mean literally no one is a believer.

    Salvation and repentance

Thanks for your comment. I guess I am just wondering should I be worrying that every word I say or action I take is a sin? Because that is where I am at and it is simply exhausting and I don't see my brothers and sisters in Christ experiencing the same level of distress that I experience...

Which church are you a member of?

    Catholicism v. Protestantism

I am not inquiring about denominational dogma or seeking for the church to save me, rather I was seeking others opinions on which Church is the most theologically sound to grow in, because I know that being in church is important for me in my walk with Christ. Thanks.

    Catholicism v. Protestantism

Appreciate your comment. Would you mind elaborating? I just want to ensure I am truly saved

    Salvation and repentance

But does not every follower continue to sin, at least in some way or another, even after becoming a follower of Christ? Your posts seems to imply that one stops being a sinner or engaging in sinful behavior after believing in Christ. I of course do my best to avoid sin but I will always fall...

    Salvation and repentance

Hi all, I was wondering if someone could explain to me the role repentance plays in salvation and if it is necessary to ensure salvation is maintained. I just want to be sure I am truly saved and have seen much misinformation that contradicts my understanding of salvation as by grace through...

    Catholicism v. Protestantism

Hi all, I was wondering if someone could discuss what drew them to the Catholic church vs. a Protestant church, or vice versa. I just want to be sure I am a part of a church that follows the Bible and God's vision for the Church most closely. I was also wondering what the different views on...

    Forgiveness and salvation

I don't have any support in scripture for that proposition that I am aware of

    Forgiveness and salvation

What does that mean? Your reply is vague and I would like specifics

    Forgiveness and salvation

That is very helpful. Coincidentally (or maybe not so much) that is the second time I have ran across that passage today. Thanks so much.

    Forgiveness and salvation

What distinguishes eternal rewards from salvation?

    Forgiveness and salvation

If everyone sins, because we are all inherently sinners, what is the line for "avoiding sin" such that it will be forgiven?

    Forgiveness and salvation

    Please elaborate

    Forgiveness and salvation

To add to this, I have been a member of a protestant church my entire life and have seen a lot of Catholics on the internet recently implying protestants are not saved. Should I be worried about this?
