The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

I've since learned a lot about this doctrine unintentionally. I think heresy is too mild of a descriptor because it's most basic elements undermine the Christian faith. So IMO it's not even Christianity; it's Christian gnosticism.

    Sabbath or no Sabbath?

David, Joseph and others were obviously exceptions who were anointed with the holy spirit. The nation of Israel, though, was not anointed in the holy spirit, but were baptized unto Moses and the law. Surely you are not in denial that the nation was baptized with the holy spirit at Pentecost (as...

    Sabbath or no Sabbath?

Sabbath observance as law is such an archaic notion. The Israelites had the sabbath, but didn't have the holy spirit. They needed the sabbath to dwell on and be reminded of GOD's goodness. Now we have the holy spirit and know GOD personally every moment of every day. Clinging to the sabbath is...

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

Yes we keep ourselves unspotted from the world by continually cleansing ourselves in the water of the word through the spirit. Even the priests who served the temple had to continually cleanse themselves from the sin-laden sacrifices they handled in the water-filled bronze basin, else they would...

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

Is there not spiritual wickedness in the world that we need to cleanse ourselves from continually? Words, images, actions of others obeying spiritual wickedness that pollute our minds.

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

Yes, before coming to Christ you had a spirit. A dead spirit, as a matter of fact, that was (is) forever separated from GOD. We receive a new spirit when we come to Christ. It is a new birth, not a makeover of a dead spirit. So I have to disagree with you that everyone's spirit resonates when...

    Help Needed

Nothing you can do except wait until somebody else posts after your first post. That's just the way this software works.

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

It is difficult to follow because the holy spirit doesn't bear witness with it. I think we should all be able to agree and know that our spirit has been spawned from the holy spirit. When it speaks, my spirit resonates. Gnostics think that they have special illumination, or gnosis. It is an...

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

I see more of the hyper-allegorism of the Alexandrian fathers in daq than I see the veiled teachings of Jesus. The problem with that approach is that it creates a disconnect between the spirit and the word, which allows you to make the bible say anything you want. Not everything in the bible is...

    Amillenialism, True or False?

What I presented is a literal translation from the Greek. I don't ever use the NIV. I don't know why you posted such nonsense. The Greek word for resurrection is the same in Revelation 20 and 2 Timothy 2:18.

    Amillenialism, True or False?

The teaching that there is no corporeal (bodily) resurrection is a foundational concept of amillennialism. It probably originates with Hymenaeus, whom Paul called a blasphemer. Here is a literal translation of what Paul said he taught: And their word will eat as gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus...

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

This is where you err. Thinking it's not there is pure delusion. If we say that we do not have sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, so that he will forgive us our sins and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9...

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

I was referring to the spiritual body, not the spirit. The disciples were obviously able to feel, hear and see Jesus' spiritual body with their natural senses. The spirit itself, on the other hand, is invisible and can only be spiritually discerned. Jesus is not spirit; he is (has) a body.

Neither shall they say Look here! or Look there!

Man's philosophy devoid of the holy spirit that considers sin to be solely an act of man's will. This belief aligns with those of Charles Finney and Pelagius. Pelagianism was one of the most (if not the most) condemned heresies in the history of the church. Finney is largely responsible for the...

are we just wasting our money giving it to pro life groups that never get the job done

I bet if women were required to view a sonogram of their child before aborting, abortions would go down dramatically, voluntarily .
