Jesus was speaking of when he would betrayed; not when he died.
If you insist Jesus ONLY '~
was speaking of when he would betrayed~' and NOT ALSO of '~
when he died~', you would insist wrongly, because He not ONLY '~
was speaking of when he would betrayed~' but ALSO of when He would die, viz., when having been crucified to death. The Text even uses the Neuter Article for both betrayal and "the" or "his to be crucified (to death)".
Jesus was betrayed and crucified and died on the same day; there's no possibility it was over two days, as you put it, '~
even if they happened on the same day~'.
I can see that you must be one of those who say the Trial lasted another day after Jesus was betrayed. But there is no reason nor any TEXT for that.
Just follow what IS WRITTEN. If you see anything suggesting or requiring another day on which the trial took place, be so kind as to furnish me with it?
