Some have said, if Jesus was God in the flesh, why doesn't the Bible just say so.

Then we read how the Word was God and was made flesh. God didn't need to say it over and over again for the benefit of unbelievers.

However, there are 4 proofs Jesus is the true God, that have gone unanswered by the unbelievers:

1.
The translation of "the Word was a god" is not only purposed error of translation, but also contradicts Scripture, says the Word did not make anything, and also condemns the Word to destruction:

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me.

There is not, nor ever was a god with God in the beginning.

Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

All gods shall be destroyed, including any god called a god.

The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

A god never made anything, but a lie:

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The only god in the beginning of creation was a false god, Lucifer by name, and he was not with God but against God, and is the father of all gods that shall perish from the earth.

2.
When will the LORD fulfill His promises of the OT to come to earth in the great day of the Lord, with wrath upon the nations and to save His people?

The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

When will He roar out of earthly Zion?

All Scriptures of the NT show it is the Lord Jesus Christ, both as Redeemer come out of Sion the first time, and as LORD of LORDs coming with wrath the second time:

And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

3.
But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king.

The LORD is the true God.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us)

The Lord Jesus Christ is that eternal life.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

The true God is that eternal life.

The Lord is the true God is eternal life is the Lord Jesus Christ.

The LORD was the Lord Jesus Christ made flesh, who is the true God, and eternal life.

4.
Jesus is declared the name above every name ever named in heaven and in earth.

And accordingly, there is no mention of the name of Yehovah in any Scripture of God, after He is made flesh and called Jesus.

(Except possibly hidden somewhere in halleluiah)

John 10:30
John 8:24
John 20:28
Thank you.

John 20:28 would make 5 unanswered proofs that Jesus is Lord and God.

The point being that the unbelievers have yet to even attempt to tried to respond to them by hook and crook.

Proof #6 unanswered:

That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Even as we honor the Father as God, so must we honor the Son as God.

Scripture is showing that rejection of the Son as God, proves the Father is not being worshipped as God at all, but only the idols of men's minds.

Jesus Christ coming down to earth as a man is God's final answer to all the lies of the devil against Him.

Those who do not honor the Son as the Father, never honored the Father at all.

They are not seeking the true God of heaven and earth, but their own god, and all their talk about seeking the true God is a lie.

Those who do not have the Son do noth have the Father

I’ve carried this in my wallet for many years.

“1. The one God. (a) theos is the most frequent designation of God in the NT. Belief in the one, only, and unique God (Matt. 23:9; Rom. 3:30; 1 Cor. 8:4,6; Gal. 3:20; 1 Tim. 2:5; Jas. 2:19) is an established part of Christian tradition. Jesus himself made the fundamental confession of Jud. his own and expressly quoted the Shema (Deut. 6:4-5; see Mk. 12:29-30; cf. Matt. 22:37; Lk. 10:27). This guaranteed continuity between the old and the new covenants. The God whom Christians worship is the God of the fathers (Acts 3:13; 5:30; 22:14), the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Acts 3:13; 7:32; cf. Matt. 22:32; Mk. 12:26; Lk. 20:37), the God of Israel (Matt. 15:31; Lk. 1:68; Acts 13:17), and the God of Jesus Christ 2 Cor. 1:3; Eph. 1:3; 1 Pet. 1:3).

This is where I start when speaking about the one God.
