I'm glad she didn't break her hip when she went down to the ground!

Owners of 'pit bulls' enjoy these dog attacks.
If she had a sharp double edge combat knife, that would have worked on that attacking dog.
Something that she could grip and handle.

I hate pitbulls ....and Rottweilers, Mastiffs ...all of which, I and my children have been stalked by on various occasions when their uncaring, irresponsible owners allowed them to run loose and enter my property. Not only that, but a pitbull attacked my daughter's 4lb Pom-chih 12 years ago. My Great Pyrenees broke his leash to fend one of them off while my then 16 yr old son yanked the other one up and tossed him over a fence ...and then tossed the other over a fence (into their own yard). They had jumped their fence to attack our little guy.

The dogs' owner didn't like that my son tossed their dogs, but oh well. They should've been thankful their dogs weren't killed. About 5 months ago, anneighborhood pitbull mauled and killed one of my sweet tom cats. :(

I hate those dogs and the breeding of them should be outlawed. That's my opinion.

Yeah, I see them around here sometimes. One was running loose in the neighborhood a year ago, big one, larger than usual. No leash.

Neighbor before she died had 2 in her house. She never walked them. Sometimes they would break through her fence. One stalked me. I felt like if I tripped and fell it would have immediately attacked. Animal control came by and one of the dogs ran out the door and aggressively threatened the officer. I talked with her daughter and she said the dogs scared her family. When she died at home, the dogs had to go.

I did not complain to the city but someone must have as they would dig under the fence and go roaming.

people that have pits have a screw loose. they think that they raise them as pups they will be sweet dogs not knowing the dogs ancestors were killers meaning any day their sweet dogs instincts might show up and decide to kill someone. my uncle had the best coon dog in the county, he didnt teach it anything, it was all in the blood.

I live in a three story apartment building.

Several months ago after I dumped trash, checked mail in the evening, I happened to glance up to the second floor from the patio. (I live on the second floor.) I saw what looked like a Pit Bull running loose up there.

But I had to get to my apartment. So took the elevator and got off. Started down the hallway to my apartment. Lo and behold, I heard paws padding behind me. I didn't look...just kept going. The dog passed me by.

But when I started to open my apartment door, he came up and put his nose to my door.... ready to go inside!!! I sweetly said "oh no, you can't come in". He then trotted off!!!

Found out the next day it was a neighbor's dog....he had run out the door. I have seen that neighbor walking his two dogs. One of them is shorter and stockier.... forgot the name... English something or other.

Bless you Sparky and dog mommy too.

That's why it's always good to have a harness on your dog,not just a collar with their ID. That way in an incident like this you can quickly hoist the dog up using the leash attached to the body harness.

Likely that Pitt is a fighting dog. They're blooded before fights using little dogs or cats for the kill.

Once the dog has the blood rush going they're ready for the fighting ring.

My cat was killed by a fighter Pitt. Fastest dog I've ever seen. Killed my cat out of my sight and turned back for home before my full run to save kitty even came close to where she caught him.

People who fight dogs should go to prison.
