We are to remain in Jesus, that means we must have gain access to him or to put it another way, been born again/become a Christian.

As he says if we as Christians remain in him we can serve him, if we don't we cannot.

This passage is speaking about Christians being united with Jesus it says nothing about us doing something to redeem ourselves.

I did not say redeeming our self

but united to Christ in faith and baptism we share in the conversion and salvation of souls

col 1:23
Phil 1:29

how are we healed by his stripes?
Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

by union with Christ!

as Jn 15 says abide in me

You still are not saying if you believe this or not, whether you believe in healing or not. And neither did you ask my first question of what you believe. Do you even have an answer to what you believe?

what about
Jn 15:4
Col 1:24
Phil 1:29

John is about individuals abiding in christ.

Col. 1-- would require me to write to you a study of antanaplēroō or fill up.

Phil. 1 suffering for Christ is not participating in Redemption.

It is your use of participation along with your previously written Catholic thoughts that make the use of participation troubling.

Yes we participate in that we are just earthen vessels that god uses to hsare the gospel for people to be saved. that is all.

yes union with Christ in his church produces fruits, graces, merits, healing

and we participate in the conversion of sinners and make reparation to God offended by sin

THEOPHILUS OF ANTIOCH
“He who gave the mouth for speech and formed the ears for hearing and made eyes for seeing will examine everything and will judge justly, granting recompense to each according to merit. To those who seek immortality by the patient exercise of good works [Rom. 2:7], he will give everlasting life, joy, peace, rest, and all good things, which neither eye has seen nor ear has heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man [1 Cor. 2:9]. For the unbelievers and the contemptuous and for those who do not submit to the truth but assent to iniquity . . . there will be wrath and indignation [Rom. 2:8]” (To Autolycus 1:14 [A.D. 181]).

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Christ is making an analogy here. Within a tree every branch is totally dependent upon the tree itself for its nourishment, and that is what makes it fruitful. Christ is the Vine (or Tree) and all the children of God are "branches" connected to Christ as members of His Body. Therefore no Christian can be fruitful unless he or she is totally dependent upon Christ (and the Holy Spirit) for Christian growth and fruitfulness. This also means that we are simply recipients, not participants in the redemptive work of Christ. "Are we united to Christ?" is already answered above.

so it’s not real?

and if you’re saved by faith alone, what are these fruits?

None of them say anything about sharing the gospel but bearing fruits, merits, graces
Healing by his stripes we are healed why cos we are united to Christ!

I never said Jesus needs redemption

mankind needs redemption

my question is about our participation in union with Christ
Didn't Jesus take care of it on the cross? We can help Jesus in his daily work by doing his will, can't we?

Yes we share in the benefits of converstion and in the penalty/problems of converstion but that does not mean that we contributed to being converted.

Those verse do not say that we contributed to being saved.

Fruit is found in Galatians 5. We do not bear merits and grace, but have them given to us!

And yes by HIS stripes we are healed.

In what way. What does that mean?

We should be grieved by the manifold sins of mankind that offend our God! If we love God!

make reparation and recompense as far as we can by prayer and sacrifice!

also not forgetting to pray for the conversion of sinners!

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the precious blood of Jesus!

Precious blood of Jesus, save us!

Jn 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Matthew 10:38
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Thessalonians 1:5
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

Colossians 1:11
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

2 Tim 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:12
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

Phil 1:29
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

1 pet 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

James 1:2-8
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing

Hebrews 6:12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 10:36
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Hebrews 12:4
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

1 Peter 2:20
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
