make reparation and recompense as far as we can by prayer and sacrifice!

None of those verses supports your belief that we contribute towards our salvation.

So then, we ask, does the prisoner participate in his own redemption? Not really. The redeemer choses whom to set free. The redeemer pays the redemption price.

Paul is talking about salvation of the soul in the Philippians. Paul isn't talking about redemption in the Corinthians passage. Christ is the only person who can redeem someone.We participate with Christ in the redemption and salvation of souls
