A literal 1,000 years came from the Mouth of God = it never came from man

I appreciate the kind words, but where in Scripture can I hear from the mouth of God 1,000 years are literal? Why does John write a/the thousand years and not write one thousand literal years?

i appreciate YOU rwb

Only 2 hours sleep last night = having coffee now

i will share with you what the HOLY SPIRIT gave to me = God wrote the Scriptures as a Children's Book

This was revealed to the Apostle John and he shared it with us in his gospel

Little children, I am with you only a little while longer. You will look for Me, and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you: ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’

Apostle Matthew also knew this

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

2Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

Apostle John - My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin.
Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming

Next we SEE the literal 1,000 Years

You post is excellent

If you get rid of the labels, including amill, you only have JESUS = which is our HIGH CALLING and GOAL

A literal 1,000 years came from the Mouth of God = it never came from man

If you believe satan is locked up sealed in prison now/today then you fall short of the Glory of GOD's WORD.
When i say "fall short" i am NOT questioning your Salvation in CHRIST

Every teaching that denies even one Word of Truth from the mouth of GOD in Revelation must be tossed in the garbage bin.

JESUS Said: "I know where you live and where Satan's seat is..........who dwells in your midst" = Revelation ch 2 Pergamum

Re the “one hour” that the beast reigns with the “ten kings” in Revelation 17:12, is that sixty minutes?

Do you accept that the figure “a thousand” (including a thousand years) and ten thousand are repeatedly used in Scripture to denote a vast indeterminate amount or period of time?

Moses employs `a thousand' in Deuteronomy 7:9 saying, "Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations."

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

1 Chronicles 16:13-17 also states, "O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant."

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

A thousand and ten thousand are used together in Psalm 91, saying, "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee" (vv 5-7).

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

A similar contrast between these two numbers or ideas is seen in Deuteronomy 32:30, where a rhetorical question is asked, "How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?"

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

Joshua affirms, on the same vein, in chapter 23, "One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you" (v 10).

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

Isaiah the prophet similarly declares in Isaiah 30:17, "one thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one."

This incidentally is the only passage in Scripture that makes mention of the actual number "one thousand," albeit, the term is used to impress a spiritual truth.

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

Psalm 84:9-10 says, "Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness."

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

The figure a thousand is also employed in Psalm 50:10-11 saying, "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine."

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

Ecclesiastes 7:27-28 succinctly says, "one man among a thousand have I found."

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

In the same vein, Job 33:23 declares, "If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness."

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

The distinct contrast between one and a thousand is again found in Job 9:2-3, where Job declares, "I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand."

Is this a literal or figurative thousand?

More avoidance. This is sadly the Premillennial pattern.
No friend = it is you who avoids the TRUTH = Genesis, Gospel, Revelation

place your complete trust in the WORD that was GOD from the Beginning = John 1:1 and Matt 4:4

JESUS said to satan:
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

You're allowing Preterit doctrine to influence you. Preterits want us to forget that first and foremost Christ is speaking to His DISCIPLES (not ethnic Jews) about what faithful saints will come against as they/we preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God unto all the world. Great affliction/tribulation was ordained for them/us not 30-40 years later with the literal destruction of the city and temple. No, great affliction/tribulation, just as Christ describes began with the earliest disciples of Christ. Stephen in the earliest ages of the Church was stoned to death because He preached in the name of Christ. This is what Christ meant when He says, "ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake."

These first disciples of Christ, having come from the Old Covenant Law and Prophets, couldn't imagine a literal Kingdom of God that did not physically include Jerusalem and the Temple. That's why Christ warns them of the impending destruction, reminding them that when they see the signs approaching, they should flee from the city, otherwise they would not live to build the spiritual Kingdom of God in heaven as they preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God unto all the nations of the world.

The days/years leading up to the physical destruction had already been great affliction/tribulation for the faithful disciples of God from the cross forward. This too was ordained by God to be the means for which Christ's disciples would be scattered throughout the nations, fleeing persecution and death, proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom of God with them as they went, the spiritual Kingdom of God in heaven being built as they remained faithful unto death.

Notice the gospel of Luke says much about the literal destruction of the physical city and temple, speaking more clearly he writes that when the armies surround Jerusalem, knowing its destruction is imminent they should flee to the mountains not because this is great affliction/tribulation the Church is called to endure. Rather, Luke says "these be the days of vengeance." Vengeance is retribution/punishment for the nation Christ calls them a nation, "that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee."

Matthew 23:38 (KJV) Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Luke 21:20-22 (KJV) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

The days of vengeance that all things ordained to come against the city which are written may be fulfilled. This is not great affliction/tribulation for faithfulness to God that would come against the Church as She seeks to build the spiritual Kingdom of God by proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom of God unto all the world, until the last/seventh trumpet begins to sound that time given the Church for building shall be no longer.

Vengeance from God for faithlessness is ordained for the physical city and temple and all who remain in unbelief, but great tribulation/affliction is ordained for the faithful saints; the Church, as She is faithful unto death as we proclaim eternal life to whosoever among mankind shall believe the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 24:4-14 (KJV) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Since when were the disciples of Christ not ethnic Jews?

Sorry for the confusion Nancy. I said ethnic Jews making a distinction between Jewish Christians, and Jews in unbelief. In the Olivet discourse Christ was speaking to His disciples, who were yes ethnically Jews, but spiritually faithful disciples of Christ. I believe it's important to remember exactly who these words of Christ were primarily addressed to, i.e. faithful saints, because Preterits especially seem to believe the Olivet discourse was written primarily for ethnic Jews in unbelief.

Thank you rwb, for your reply. Also, Jesus spoke before the cross, and again, after His resurrection. Are His words only "for" the original disciples? Or are they for all followers of Christ to this day? I think for all. What say you?

You're welcome! No, I agree with you! I don't believe the words of Christ were only for His first disciples, rather His words speak to every faithful saint throughout the whole world! Which is why God had His message for us written, that we might know.

Never assume you posting a page of scripture will overcome the Truth of Christs words that expose the error of Amill.
Did you even read his post? It was an excellent post. Your response is very weak. How about actually addressing what he said in his post instead of making yet another vague comment that does nothing to support your Premill view?

Your belief system has been exposed as fraudulent.

JESUS Said so

You should be terrified and you should run to the LORD asking for forgiveness and for Him to open your understanding as HE has done for so many bound in religion.
Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away, resulting in the destruction of all unbelievers when He comes again. Matching what Paul taught in 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 and 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 and what Peter taught in 2 Peter 3:10-12. You are the one that should be apologizing to the Lord for falling for the false doctrine of Premillennialism.

Read the words of Jesus and learn.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Your false Premill doctrine has mortal unbelieving survivors of Christ's return. That blatantly contradicts what Jesus taught here. He did not teach that any unbelievers will survive His return. Instead, He taught the heaven and earth will pass away unexpectedly when He returns (just like Peter taught in 2 Peter 3:10-12) and He said just as "the flood came and took them all away" in Noah's day, "so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.".

Anyone who denies or devalues or detracts from Revelation in anyway will be Judged = Rev 22:18-19

And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,
‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword:

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is.
And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr,
who was killed among you,

You're allowing Preterit doctrine to influence you.
Absolutely not. That is a foolish claim.

The following is what spawned the Olivet Discourse in the first place.

Mark 13:1 Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!” 2 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

Jesus very clearly told the disciples that the temple buildings standing at that time would be destroyed. Then we see this...

Mark 13:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately, 4 “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

The disciples naturally wanted to know when the temple buildings would be destroyed. It had to be a shock to them to hear Jesus tell them that. But, what Matthew clarifies in his account is that Jesus didn't only answer the question about the timing of the destruction of the temple buildings, but also talked about the timing of His future second coming at the end of the age. It's foolish for you to lump me in with the preterists who try to say that Jesus came in 70 AD. That is not what I believe. Just because I agree with them that Jesus talked about the destruction of the temple buildings standing at that time does not mean I'm a preterist. I disagree with most of their understanding of the Olivet Discourse.

That was very hard to follow. You didn't make it clear how exactly you interpret the Olivet Discourse. Are you denying that Jesus talked at all about the destruction of the temple buildings and Jerusalem in the Olivet Discourse?

Don't try to relate that verse to me. That is foolish. Don't be foolish. That passage is about people who PURPOSELY try to add to or take away from what is written in the book of Revelation, which I absolutely am not doing. Imagine if I accused you of that just because I disagree with your interpretation? I believe your interpretation is wrong, but I don't believe you're interpreting it wrongly on purpose. You talk about being judged. Stop judging me or else you will be judged with the measure that you are judging me.

Thanks Davy...this is too much for my pea brain to decipher . I've so much more even, to understand in Eschatology. There are too many views on this subject and, they are tossing such confusion around, it is hard to determine which one to believe anymore. But I do thank you for your reply.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

Imagine if I accused you of that just because I disagree with your interpretation? I believe your interpretation is wrong, but I don't believe you're interpreting it wrongly on purpose. You talk about being judged. Stop judging me or else you will be judged with the measure that you are judging me.
Here is yours and @WPM stumbling block = i gave no interpretation = ONLY the Word of GOD = Revelation 2:12-13

YAHShua was and is a stumbling block to the jews to this day!!!

Revelation 22:18-19 is spoken to EVERYONE

Anyone who denies or devalues or detracts from Revelation in anyway will be Judged = Rev 22:18-19

And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,
‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword:

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is.
And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr,
who was killed among you,
where Satan dwells.
It seems like anyone who "denies or devalues or detracts" from your faulty non-corroborative view of Revelation is of the devil, yet you a re incapable of outlining your belief in s coherent way or by supporting it with other Scripture. That is because it is unbiblical.
