Matt. 5:11 “Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.​

Of course, when the world slaps us, we're to turn the other cheek. But when the "church" slaps us, we're NOT to turn the other cheek. :)


CHRISTIANS, -- get used to it from both inside and outside the "church", because we ARE in the "last days", which means "last months".

... and if I might point out, -- Jesus wasn't handed over to be crucified by the "world". It took his religious adherents, so should we expect anything different?!?

... so what is the lesson? The lesson is that when you are doing what Jesus and the Prophets did, you will find yourself being persecuted -- MAINLY BY THE "CHURCH".

And if you're NOT being persecuted and scoffed at by the "church" then are you doing what you're called to do, or are you just "playing church".
