Scammers pretend to be Microsoft support, Amazon, etc, often saying you are due a refund. Or claiming your computer is infected with viruses.
They try to get you to install programs which gives them full control of your computer. They then try to enter your bank account and steal from you.
Usually the program scammers use is called "AnyDesk". Do not install it onto your computer!
The following video explains another program Connectwise Control. This program operates without you knowing. This program allows a scammer to see everything you do on the computer, even controlling your webcam.
