about Christmas

December 25 is the feast day of the Roman sun god, but what doesthe bible say about the sun? In Revelation 12 it says,"And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars."(Revelation 12:1)From the above verse, we should know the true meaning of Christmas,which is about being born again. About being transformed into the imageand likeness of our Lord, Creator of the universe.

I don't have the exact date, but around 380 AD the Roman Catholic Church, under papal authority, decided to declare Christ's birthday to be on December 25th. Either to rival the Pagan holiday, or to make the converted Pagans more comfortable with Christianity.The Bible hints Christ's birth to be around the month of September.
