    “Absolutely Nothing Better”
    Psalm 63:3-4 NLT
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting my hands to you in prayer.

We all have a favorite of something in our lives. We have a favorite restaurant, food item, sports team, beverage, season, car, dessert, etc. The list could go on and on. If someone were to bring up a general food item, you’d probably think of a great fast food place or restaurant you’ve been to that has your favorite menu item. Without hesitation, if someone were to bring up pizza or chicken wings, I would think of my favorite place for each of these and rave about the place I like to go to. Why? Because with my experience through the years, I have tasted nothing like it and highly recommend.

We all have different things that we think are the best and nothing can beat the experience we’ve had. That’s what keeps us going back as customers, right?? Right! I happen to really enjoy food and I often talk a lot about different dishes and places I’ve been. I probably talk way too much about food, but good food is good food, right?

As much as we like to talk about the best things we’ve had that cannot be compared to anything else, I think so much about our experience in our relationship with God. How often do we consider our experience with God’s unfailing love? How often do we really stop to think about how there is absolutely nothing better than the life He has given to us through Jesus Christ?

I was thinking the past couple days about the song “Graves into Gardens” by Elevation Worship. This song is so popular in churches now! It’s a great song and part of the song talks about how there is absolutely nothing better than God. Friends, this is so very true! While we try to take in experiences in life that we think cannot be compared to anything else, we should always remember the experience we have with God’s unfailing love is truly unlike anything in this world we could ever experience.

His unfailing love should be the first thing on our mind when we wake up and the last thing we think about before laying our head on our pillow at night. I know we “know” this, but do we really soak this in and make it a priority to be thankful and amazed by the fact that there is absolutely nothing better than Him? Are we more excited about His unfailing love than we are about sports, good food and any other experience that we think cannot be topped?

There is absolutely nothing better than experiencing His unfailing love every moment we are awake each day.
