What Acts 2 doesnt say is any reference to the Body of Christ and besides that we established it began to be identified only with Paul's epistles

[Act 2:42 KJV] 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

They followed the twelve's doctrine not Paul's

Sure it does

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’

How does Eph 5 relate to Genesis
Genesis chapter 2

All Truth begins in Genesis

@Doug, God's Word is the SEED of LIFE, it is TRUTH and so we first must allow God to plant the Truth in our hearts when we read the scriptures.
Second, we must allow God to water the SEED of Truth in our hearts.
Thirdly, we must be patient and wait for the Growth that produces Revelation that is seen in the Spirit of Truth = Thy Word is Truth

PRAY - READ - PRAY and wait on the LORD

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

Religion is based upon 'flesh and blood'

REVELATION comes from ABOVE

2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Those listed in Acts 1:13-14 were of one accord and were assembled together in Jerusalem.

2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

The Jews and proselytes in the city investigated what was going on.

2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

The apostles, filled with the Holy Ghost, began to speak in tongues.

2:11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

Speaking in tongues, as can clearly be seen above in verses 8 and 11, involves the ability given the apostles to speak and be heard in a specific language, not of their own. It was a sign given them to substantiate their ministry.

Peter, standing with the eleven, spoke.

2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Pentecost and the filling of the Holy Host was prophesied by Joel. This was a fulfillment of prophecy in Joel 2.

2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

In the above verses it should be noted that Peter was not addressing the newly formed church, the Body of Christ, but rather, Israel only. Peter preached Jesus as Christ and his resurrection. The resurrection of Jesus Christ would establish the future promise of His Kingdom on earth. This promised Kingdom would put him on the throne of David; enable Israel to reign and rule with him over the nations; and be a light of salvation to the Gentiles, thru the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Peter, in the above verses, states that Jesus is both Lord and Christ. Jesus rose from the dead, showing his diety, that he is the Son of God.

In verse 38 below, Peter shows that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Saviour of Israel, who alone can forgive the sins of the nation of Israel.

2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

Peter is only offering the above promises of remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Ghost to Israel and those Gentiles who would come to God thru Israel.

2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

The believers were baptized according to the Israel program of recognition of the name; the authority; and the idenity of Jesus. They were added to them, the church of the Kingdom to come, not the Body of Christ.

2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

They sold all they had and provided to all according to the commandment to Israel by Jesus in Matthew 13:46 and 19:21.

2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

They were in one accord as well. The church here is not the Body of Christ. The church here are the believers in Christ who were promised entrance into the Kingdom on earth. The kingdom which is postponed and interrupted by our Dispensation of Grace.
Yes, it was the 11 apostles only, not the 120 as some erroneously believe, and it can further be traced to the promise made to the 11 by the Lord which was "the power from on high" as recorded in Luke 24:49 and also that which was stated by John the Baptist as the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Luke 24:49

49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

[Lev 19:34 KJV] 34 [But] the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God.

The stranger proselytes were counted as being Israel

You're still not paying attention, but only hearing what you want to hear.

Like I said, you need to study your Bible more...

Acts 2:8-11
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
KJV

Below are those that returned to Jerusalem from the Babylon captivity WITH... the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi. These were FOREIGNERS not of the seed of Israel, yet were COUNTED as part of the nation of Israel...

Ezra 2:43
43 The
Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
KJV

The word "Nethinim" means 'given to temple service'. They were servants of the Levites for temple duties. They were NOT of the seed of Israel, but originated from those mentioned below...

Ezra 2:58-59
58 All the
Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
59 And these were they which went up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer:
but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:
KJV

Ezra 2:61-62
61 And of
the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name:
62
These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
KJV

1 Kings 9:19-21
19 And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
20
And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,
21 Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.
KJV

Those above were the Canaanites which God commanded the children of Israel to utterly destroy per Deuteronomy 20 when Israel came in the new lands. Israel failed in that, so God said He would use them to test Israel with (Judges 2 & 3; Joshua 9). They would become the "Nethinim" bondservants that served in the temple, with some of them later creeping into the priesthood, like those of Ezra 2:61-62 that went captive to Babylon with the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, and returned with them to Jerusalem.

The scribes of Israel were these...

1 Chron 2:55
55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites.
These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
KJV

The following tells us what peoples the Kenites were...

Gen 15:18-21
18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
19
The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
KJV

The Kenites were numbered among the Canaanite peoples of the land of Canaan. They were not of the seed of Israel, but were foreigners that crept in among Israel and became religious Jews, even Israel's SCRIBES in charge of keeping the letters of God's written Word from generation to generation.

So like I said, NOT ALL THOSE WHO CLAIM TO BE JEWS, actually are true bloodline seed of Judah, which is where the title of Jew originated from the sole tribe Judah (per the Jewish historian Josephus who lived in 100 A.D.).

Jesus speaking to the Church of Smyrna...

Rev 2:9
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich)
and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
KJV

All good and TRUE except that you are missing that God COMMANDED His Gospel to all nations.

And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “This is the ordinance of the Passover: No foreigner shall eat it. 44But every man’s servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then he may eat it. 45A sojourner and a hired servant shall not eat it. 46In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not carry any of the flesh outside the house, nor shall you break one of its bones. 47All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. 48And when a stranger [l]dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as a native of the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat it.
49One law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you.”

50Thus all the children of Israel did; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
51And it came to pass, on that very same day, that the Lord brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies.

I get that but am not clear as to what's the point
The point is how many don't actually study their Bible as they should, and instead default to men's pop doctrines and what. It's hard to believe how many brethren are so easily duped by their church systems and denomination doctrines which actually have very little to do with what's actually written in The Bible. Man's pop doctrine of a false pre-trib rapture theory is one of those doctrines of men. It is nowhere written in God's Word, but instead just the opposite idea is (Matthew 24:29-31; Mark 13:24-27).

Most Churches today believe that all Israelites are Jews, when per God's Word and history that simply is not true. And the actual Greek word for 'Jew' that Apostle Paul used most often is meant in the sense of a country, a 'Judean'.

The Biblical truth is that the Israel that went captive to Babylon in Daniel's day involved only the three tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, and a small remnant of the northern ten tribes sided with Judah that refused king Jeroboam's calf idols in the north. The rest of the Jews living in Jerusalem-Judea were foreigners, strangers that became religious Jews.

When Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, conquered Jerusalem and destroyed it and Solomon's temple, and took the children of Israel captive to Babylon, that did not involve the majority of the seed of Israel of the northern ten tribes. God had already removed the northern ten tribes out of the land about 120 years before Nebuchadnezzar. And they never returned as a people, and are still lost in the countries to this day. Those whom Neb took to Babylon called themselves 'Jews'. The northern ten tribes did not use that title 'Jew'.

Thus men's POP doctrines about who all were at Pentecost in Acts 2, most Churches wrongly teach they were all bloodline Israelite Jews, when those of us that have... studied The Old Testament Bible histories well know there were many foreigners mixed among the "house of Judah" at Jerusalem-Judea at that time.

Still what your point of contention to my original post is is unclear
