Ok thanks. Thought it was something like that.

Puzzling why a “born again” person…would state having NOT a love above all things unto God.

Glory to God,
Taken
once again our dear lady taken has asked a massive dire needful question .
WHY WOULD anyone preach a love that is not A LOVE OF GOD , HIS CHRIST above all .
Man o man what a lovely question indeed .
SO NOW i ask our friend who gave us this lovely reminder
WHY THE HECK IS ANYONE GATHERING with anything ecumeincal incliusive interfaith .
WHICH by MEANS of its interfaith interreligious dialgoue DARN SURE OMITTED THE NUMBER ONE
main thing , THE LOVE OF GOD and sold a lie that calls GOD A LIAR .
GOOD QUESTION TAKEN . NOW WHY WOULD WE DO THAT . WHY would we gather WITH THAT MESS of anti christ
and ever once think its peace plan BE OF GOD when clearly its peace plan DENIED HIS CHRIST , as in the dire need
to BELIEVE ON HIM . DO have a lovely day now .

seems to me like many HAVE ZERO idea of WHAT THIS ACTUAL LOVE OF GOD above all EVEN MEANS .
seems to me like many are following an inclusive version of love that it has sold as being the LOVE OF GOD .
MANY have my dear dear taken . OH many have indeed been taken into that web of deception .

His choice.

imo…Not his place.

I’m sure.
er well as embarrassed as she was . better to be embarrased and later repent .
We aint GOD and we do NOT know what is best . GOD does .
And the apostels sure did . And paul was not a hater when he wrote to both timothy
and later titus saying things like THOSE WHO SIN rebuke before all that others may also fear .
The problem lies not in THE SPIRIT that does convict , nor in the person convincted who confesses his or her sin .
THE SIN was always the problem and it needed to be exposed by THE LIGHT and the sinner be led to repentance .
Just a friendly reminder to us all .

Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 24/7 (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self-righteousness. (1 John 1:8-10) ⚠️

That is an anomaly.
They who are “IN” Christ are called “Perfect-ED “in” Christ.

They still have their same sinful natural body,
Their Sin, didn’t “disappear”…
Their Sin of “having HAD unbelief” was “Forgiven and Covered.”

No human living man CAN EVER BE “sinless”…
He was “conceived in sin, he was Born in Sin…
His “Confidence and Belief”, is in Gods “Forgiveness and Covering”.
AND…
promised according to Gods Timing…
…to BE Redeemed or Otherwise “Raised up”in “a new, glorified, sinless Body”
AND…
…presented holy WHOLE (restored soul, quickened spirit, “new” BODY …before their Holy Lord God and Savior….Seeing Him “as HE IS” Holy Spirit.

Yes Every Living Human HAS SIN…
Some have Forgiven and Covered Sin, God remembers no more.
Some have Unforgiven Sin, God Remembers and Has a consequence to follow.

Remember…1 John 1:8…
Is based on those words that a person “actually says”.

1 John 1:
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

I don’t believe I have ever head a person say those words.

Personally, I believe that would likely be said by a person who neither believes IN God, or believes in such a thing “called” SIN.

Glory to God,
Taken

Only Moses Law can define your deeds as sin.

And because a born again Christian is "not under the law, but under Grace"......then the law has no capacity to judge the Christian ever again.

therefore........."where there is no Law, there is no sin"...
Sin-Is-not-Imputed-Where-There-Is-No-Law-Romans-513-1024x576.jpg

(Romans 5:13)

In this respect, Christians do not sin, because sin doesn't count as sin when a Christian does it. (So that aforementioned Christian lady whose boyfriend confessed her sin for her publicly need not have been embarrassed.)

But in the next chapter, Paul will exhort the Beloved of God in Rome to not allow Sin (here treated as a distinct sentient power) to use their minds and bodies. This of course presumes that it is possible for a Christian to allow sin to use their bodies and minds.

"Cannot sin" means you have no desire to sin
Paul gets around this problem by disassociating the sinful desires of "the flesh" from the desires of the ego, the "I". (Disassociation is an interesting psychological technique.)

17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

In the case you confessed here, you said it was your pride that encouraged you to lie. That pride is part of what Paul calls "the flesh". It was still there. This is consistent with what Paul writes in chapter 8. The "flesh" is still there. We're called to walk by the Spirit.

Most people love themselves more. Hence the focus on personal salvation in most of these discussions.

Likely so.
Many are called.
Few answer the call.
Many (trillions) make up the worlds historical and present Population.
Few shall be saved.

Praise unto God, for a New, Better Testament, For those who desire to Take Gods Offering of “Assured Salvation IN Christ”.

OSAS!

Heb 7:
[22] By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

John 10:
[28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

1 John 5:
[11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
[12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Heb 10:
[10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
[14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

i jus want to give us all a reminder so as we do not do in error .
Many today are all about bending over to make people feel ACCEPTED .
Now would you thank me for offering a perspective that was a lie , was of anti christ .
I SURE HOPE NOT . if one be in error we dont thank we correct . WE dont have to scream
but WE DO correct . the i dea is not unity at the cost of doctrine . IT should have been UNITY OF THE HOLY DOCTRINE
UNDER JESUS CHRIST .
Just a reminder for us all my friend .

You don't seem to understand their are different interpretations, opinions and perspectives and I like to hear them.
You are not infallible

Don't have to STRIVE to be saved. Have to STRIVE to stay saved.

Luke 13:23-24
23 Then one said to Him, "Lord, are there few who are saved?" And He said to them,
24 "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
You do understand salvation isn't based on your works? Works are a result...by-product...of your salvation.

context! context! context!

Do you not know that verse 17 is in the middle of what Paul shows as what mankind's life was like before Christ when for 1,500 years or so they lived under the law where their sacrifices could only cover sin, but not take it away? Romans 7:14-25 shows in verse 24 mankind's need for Jesus, not that He had already come. Lambano, Romans is Paul's teaching that runs from chapters 1 through 8 and is the history of God's laws. Before the law, during the law and after being freed from the law which in chapter 7 is verses 5-6. It would be good for you to memorize those two verses and see that chapter 8 is the conclusion and remedy for sin - not being in the flesh any longer. You can believe what it says, or believe man's doctrines of error. Your verse 17 is during the 1,500 years of man living during and under the law, which Christians are freed from both the law and sin in the NEXT chapter.

How is it that so many people who can read do not recognize that those verses (14-25) preached at us from pulpits, DO NOT APPLY TO US?????????????????????????
In the case you confessed here, you said it was your pride that encouraged you to lie. That pride is part of what Paul calls "the flesh". It was still there. This is consistent with what Paul writes in chapter 8. The "flesh" is still there. We're called to walk by the Spirit.
Pride? What would you say during the second world war and you lived in Germany and were hiding Jews. If an SS officer came to your door and asked you if you were hiding Jews, would you lie and say NO! Would you say, yes, come right in and take them. Or how about the advice I've been given and say to the officer, it is none of your business and I don't wish to answer? Would the officer leave you alone?

I weighed the outcome and my privacy. "Pride" is an unfair judgment on your part. It was not giving an evil person the truth to use against me. Still, I was so used to telling the truth that it hurt me deeply to be forced lie. That is part of being born again. You hate lying so don't. Then someone comes along that is so evil, and you are forced to keep your privacy by lying. What would you do?

I weighed the outcome and my privacy. "Pride" is an unfair judgment on your part.
But mine was just pride. The truth was none of his business. Especially, after I answered, he'd ask the same question four times!
"Pride" was your own confession, not my judgment. (And I respect your transparency and self-awareness in admitting it publicly.)

Don't worry; you're in good company. The Apostle Paul had his pride issues too, and in 2 Corinthians 11:16-12:6, he decides to let it all hang out. Boasting. He knows it's sinful, he knows it's foolish, he knows it's wrong - and he does it anyway. That's what I love about Paul, and I love that the Bible is open and honest about it.

And I've got pride issues too, and so does just about everybody on this board. That's probably one of the reason's you're getting so much push-back.

Ahh, who is the "I" Paul is talking about in Romans 17? Himself before his conversion? Himself after conversion? Scholars have been debating that question, possibly for centuries, without consensus.

I've been through a several bible studies focused on Romans. One of the more interesting theories is that Paul is speaking for a hypothetical generic Gentile-Christian forced to observe Torah. Chapter 7 is written to the Jewish-Christians in Rome (verse 1), and the subject is the purpose of Torah. Verse 9: Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. Paul was born a Jew and was NEVER alive apart from Torah until his Damascus Road experience. A Gentile convert, however, would fit the narrative. (For that matter, so would a Jewish-Christian convert who continued to derive his identity from Torah. A Jewish-Christian convert like Paul.) This is called "speech in character", and (the scholars say) is a literary form that was not uncommon in Paul's world.

You will also note that in Chapter 8 immediately following this, there is a stated assumption that Christians are influenced by both "the Flesh" and the Spirit.

Oh yea, she has a ton of pride.

She says no one can sin after being born again, yet she admits she intentionally sinned. She contradicts herself.
When I suggested to pray for forgiveness she said it wouldn't help.

Pride is the favourite sin of the evil one
