When Paul stood before Agrippa to testify of the charges brought against him of insurrection because he preached the freedom of the gospel. Agrippa made this statement ALMOST.....thou persuadest me.....
Acts 26

Let's look at what persuasion
is. To persuade is to cause someone to believe something through reasoning or argument, after a sustained effort. To prevail upon; to convince.

What convinces a person to follow Jesus?

Matthew 13
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Hebrews 11:13 ( read chpt. to see who these are)
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

How can we be persuaded to believe in Jesus? Only by the hearing of the word, even if it's only the spoken word of God This gives us faith to believe or be persuaded of God. After consistent, routine exposure to the truth of God's Word, we become fully persuaded of what it says. We don't have to try to get faith- it just comes by hearing the Word of God day after day.
***So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17**

Abraham believed God as he waked with him. He was fully persuaded.
Romans 4:20-22
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief ; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Abraham was full persuaded. In other words, he had faith.

The word can be preached or taught and individually studied and we are commanded to share the gospel by the word of God,Jesus!
There are 3 modes of persuasion, some come naturally by the presenter of what one is trying to convince another of.
1. Ethos is a way of convincing your audience of your credibility.
2.Pathos; Most simply, pathos is the appeal to our human emotions. We're more often moved by our emotions than by logic or common sense, so pathos is a powerful mode of persuasion.
3. Logos; Logos is the appeal to our logical side. Logos is about the facts we present in our sharing and the logical manner in which we present our ideas.

If one is NOT FULLY PERSUADED, then the opposite reality can be to become " bewitched".
Bewitch 1. enchant and delight (someone). Today we live in a world consumed with self and gratifying the flesh. Ppl who claim to belong to God but having itching ears, wanting to be tickled or placated in their sinful behaviours. Believing a lie and being deceived!

Paul admonished the Galatians for such by returning to the works of the law here.
Gal. 3.
1.O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? [2] This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith ?

How then can we live in the persuasion of the truth of the gospel. Only through living and walking in the word of God, led by the Spirit may we be FULLY PERSUADED TO FOLLOW JESUS!

Pretty simple answer for me.

If we are predestined to believe in Jesus..it will be done.

Nothing can stop the will of God.

He does the drawing...he does the opening of our hearts to receive his Living Word...it’s called becoming Born Again by the Holy Spirit...Spirit gives birth to spirit.

He even brings us to believe in Jesus..

What does that mean?

Persuasion ...I think NOT.

Can the Lord persuade ppl to still follow him? Many are distracted from the purpose of God; to have men everywhere repent, and be saved but they are listening to other voices.

Isaiah 1:18
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

To persuade one of their separation from God takes the power of the Holy Spirit. After the word has went forth and rested upon the ears and hearts of ppl, the HS begins his first work in the unbelieving.
John 16:8-11
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Today it seems as if the word and the Spirit are not enough to convince ppl to serve God.

This is a rebellious and stubborn generation that believes NOT GOD !

There are numerous inspiring testimonies of men & women whom met Jesus and were delivered from a life of drink, abuse of family, sexual immortality, sins against humanity, even influences of the devil himself.

Unfortunately we now live under the days of this saying by a comic," this is a hard audience".

In the sense of today's generation, many "claim" the status christian and know God!
Yet time & time again we see and hear their dreadful sins against God's word being exposed!

THAT PATTERN should never have been replaced . WHen churches slowly began chipping away
at HOW the early church did things and replaced it with what they saw fit as a more modern way of doing things
WELL IT COST THE CHURCH BIGTIME . The only pattern that works IS the pattern JESUS both taught and did
the same pattern the apostels both taught and did . The lambs know this and we stay glued in biblcal doctrine
being led BY the SPIRIT and planted in biblical doctrine . Not as many who rather
teach mens modern concepts of how to do this or that , on how to build on a church , on how not to offend .
Cause that pattern men teach , HAS NOT and will not WORK . ITS message will not penetrate the heart
cause its message COMETH NOT OF THE SPIRIT . THERE is no conviction of sins because they no longer
even see certain sins as sins and worse this does get .
But those who know THE LORD shall do exploits . the Lambs shall take HEED to the SPIRIT
which has put the love for TRUTH upon their hearts . And in that bible they shall remain teaching all sound doctrine .
HIT the trenches sister , its an all out war for the souls of men in these last hours upon earth .

When a generation or anyone thinketh their way is the better way to DO things than was the way in that bible
that JESUS and the apostels did things , WELL ON that path THINGS GET and WILL ONLY GET WORSE .
But lambs follow CHRIST and a strangers voice , THEY AINT A HEEDING SISTER .
For lambs have the knowledge of the HOLY ONE and HE keeps their minds and hearts INSTRUCTED in HIS WAY and WORDS.
Lambs will not budge from the pure and holy doctrine delivered us in that bible .
ITS an all out war and the deceptoin has grown massive .

All natural born men have had that “ability” to believe…..
#1…Gods Breath of Life in our soul ((ie life of our soul)
#2…Gods gifting of measures of FAITH, FOR hearing His Word, VIA the power of the Holy Spirit (Called “TASTING”) a blip experience of HOW the Power of God affects a man.

Tasting is likened to a Tasting of food…humm, like it, want to Taste tomorrow, next week, etc.
or humm, don’t like it “spit it out”.

Similar to Gods Word…Keep tasting, Like it?
Preparing to “EAT”.

Remember Jesus said…EAT “this” Bread, as an example of “EATING” my ((his) BODY.

Yes, a measure of faith, to believe, is given unto every soul born. That measure is used in believing in the saving efficacy of the sacrifice of Jesus. Then our faith must be built up on the word of God .

Wickedness is unrighteousness. The destiny of the unrighteous is eternal punishment (1 Corinthians 6:8-
10; Revelation 21:8).

Romans 6:16-18.
In verse 17, it states that one must obey from the heart that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered, (that is, one must hear the Gospel, repent of his sins, confess Christ as the Son of the living God, and live according to the Word of Truth). This means that one must turn and resist Satan and submit to God
(1 Thessalonians 1:9; James 4:7).

Your words ring true and yet , and yet i often see many who can SAY these things with their lips
and yet , They follow the dragon himself . Many ARE NOT BORN again .
So allow me to remind us of the words of those WE SHOULD KNOW were BORN again .
THEY all warned the church TO CONTINUE IN CHRIST TO the END .
The born again would embrace that and also teach it .
You see the born again WONT have a problem with ANY of the reminders or warnings .
They wont follow another jesus or acroynm , they wont follow the all inclusive false love
they wont heed pastors who accuse those who warn against sin and error as being judgmental
They wont omit , add too , nor take from WHAT GOD inspired .
You see the born again know something . ITS MEN that cannot be trusted but THAT THE SCRIPTURES CAN BE TRUSTED .
They wont sit under men who try and honor pagan things either and blend the pagan into christanity .
Wanna know why . CAUSE GOD convicts them of sin and error . HE KEEPS their feet from that path .
AND , and if they do enter into error , they would be convicted , repent and flee error .
THEY would embrace EVERY warning , every word of truth in scripture . Knowing by the grace of GOD
and by HIS GRACE they would know EVERY WORD was for our good . Thus when men try and stand
and say This is a different age or those were different times
or whatever excuse they make to change , make void , omit THE THINGS already written , THEY AINT BUYING IT .

Romans 10:17 KJV: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the WORD OF GOD.

This means that one must turn and resist Satan and submit to God
(1 Thessalonians 1:9; James 4:7).

Christ is the persuasion, doctrine and work of God!
