Many Christians are unaware that they are forgiven for all their sins! Otherwise Scripture could not state that we are already like Jesus (1Jo 4:17). Not in His sinlessness but in His guiltlessness! He knows you don’t want to sin, as Paul was delivered from desiring sin (Rom 7:15, 16, 19, 20, 21), he did not want to sin.

Such is the Christian, already delivered from all sin, because God knows we do not want to sin, but “please” Him (Phl 2:13). If God is not “working“ this “in you,” you aren’t saved yet—you have not been “born again” yet.

Once we are saved God starts “conforming” us to the “image” (walk) of the Lord Jesus (Rom 8:29). This means everyone saved will mature and grow in Christ in the way they live! When we sin we need not ask for forgiveness but instead thank Him for His permanent forgiveness (Heb 10:12). All His “forgiveness” was given at the point of rebirth (1Jn 1:9). He doesn’t have to keep forgiving over and over, it’s “once for all” (Heb 10:10).

There is never a time we aren’t forgiven. This of course concerns only not sinning “willfully” (Heb 10:26). If we intentionally sin it manifests we are unsaved, and do not want to give up the sin. God knows we want to “please Him,” and living without intentional sin is His goal for us. Living this way doesn’t gain salvation—it is a free gift of God (Eph 2:8). He will have only holy believers living for Him!

It of course is the most marvelous thing that we do not owe God for salvation. The Lord Jesus’ sacrifices makes us deserving and “worthy” (Col 1:10; 1Co 11:27; Rev 3:4; 16:6). Remember, Christians have everything the Lord Jesus has, for they are continually being “conformed to Christ’s “image.”

Many Christians are unaware that they are forgiven for all their sins!

So we can keep living in sin right since all out future sins have already been forgiven even before we commit the sin?

You also failed to mention repentance. Without repentance what Jesus did on the Cross is not applicable

If someone says it is, then they are advocating that universalism is true and all are saved.

Congratulations on posting more of your confusion, that is based on not actually understanding The Cross of Christ.

Next you'll be pretending that during your many years of confessing your sins.......you were only confessing accidents, and never did you actually confess a sin that you chose to do.

The slate is clean for all who are in Christ, or at least mine is. Christ owns you and sanctifies you, you are a Child of God, and "abba" Father does discipline His children.

Curious as to how you handle James 5:14-16?
James 5
Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.

19 My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

Your are forgiven, its done. By the way, how could you do that to Jesus who died for you?

I'm not going to go out and sin, but many that have gotten born again have actually done that

I guess it's all good then for them to continue living in sin since they are automatically forgiven even before they do their sin right?

No need to confess and forsake their sin since all future sins are forgiven eh?

The fear of God is the beginning of knowledge. If you fear God, you wouldn't do anything.

What else does God's Word say the fear of God is?
Psalm 19:9 -The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

Psalm 25:14 - The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant

Psalm 111:10 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.

John 1:29 KJV
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Mark 3:28-30 KJV
28) Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29) But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30) Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Make no mistake, being forgiven of sins doesn't equal eternal life, you must be born again.

Romans 5:8-10 KJV
8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

"We urge you . . . be reconciled to God."

Much love!

I couldn't post all of them. I posted a few, You asked for.

But you left out one of the major ones, if not the most important one!
I thought you said you knew God's Word!

If not, all ya have to do is jump on a search engine and search for what is the fear of the Lord and all these verses would come up.

Hang in there bud, you'll keep growing in the Lord if you don't quit! thumbsup2.gif

Let me know if you need any further help! grin.gif

Confession (admitting we sinned),repentance (discontinue a sinful commission) and forgiveness are a given during the time you are being saved; and from there on we always live in repentance as a constant attitude. When we realize we sin, we can just thank God for His forgiveness (He is always faithful to forgive - 1Jo 1:9) for whatever it was. Even though Christians still sin they will always want to "please" God, because He "works" this in them.

During the Lord's prayer He said to "forgive us our sins, as we forgive others." This is still law, for the Christian forgives according to how the Lord Jesus forgives, not according to how man forgives (Jhn 15:12).

Hi, I would need to generalize your reply a bit to figure out what you are trying to say. Thanks.
