Actually, I didn't word that right and the person corrected me on that. They were not officially a JW, but used to interact with JWs and listened to their teachings and so on for years, but they did not get baptized as part of their organization in order to officially become a JW. That wasn't made clear to me before.

In a sense, sure. But, there is another sense in which we can say we are saved now, which is in the sense that someone now is submitted to Christ and belongs to Him. How do you interpret this passage:

Ephesians 2:4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

In this passage Paul talks in past tense about God having "MADE us alive with Christ even when we WERE dead in transgressions" and he said in relation to that "it is by grace you HAVE BEEN SAVED" (past tense). So, there is a sense in which those of us who belong to Christ are saved right now, but it's also true that one must endure to the end to be saved in the end.

This is absolutely false. Those verses come nowhere near saying that. That prospect is open NOW to untold billions. NOW is the time of salvation. TODAY is the day of salvation...RIGHT NOW...because tomorrow, or even the next moment in time, may not come. You have been deceived. Once you die there are NO second chances. When I see something that so clearly contradicts scripture, I believe I have the right to condemn it for the false teaching that it so clearly is.

Revelation 7:9 says a “great crowd” survives this system’s destruction. Who does that include? We don’t specifically know. Only Jehovah and Jesus can read hearts.

Yes, we don't know that for sure, but what we do know is that it includes anyone who has genuinely repented of their sins and put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior while understanding that we are saved by God's grace through faith and NOT by works or our own righteousness.
