If the story is true, it's surprising that it didn't make the local news then, at least. And, if it's true, him "throwing a priest over pews" is an act of anger, and Jesus taught that one shouldn't even get angry with his neighbor. Sin should repulse us, but not the sinner. All those who choose to follow Christ must suffer for souls and try to save them as He did by all possible means. And let love always prevail, among the means used to save. They also need to consider that Jesus was not unaware of Judas' horror... But, overcoming all disgust, He treated the wretch as He treated John. Jesus's followers will often be spared the bitterness of knowing that nothing is of any use to save a beloved fellow neighbor... And they will therefore be able to work without the tiredness that affects one, when one knows that everything is useless....One must work even then...always...until everything is accomplished...
What is the difference between sexual immoralities committed by sinners in IBM, Protestant denominations, and the Christian (Catholic) Church, and so on? None. Sin is sin.
Immoralities can be and are committed by people who aren't celibate too. Therefore, celibacy in and of itself isn't the problem.
No, people deny that Satan and his demons are just as real as God and His angels are. There's a spiritual warfare going on in this world, seen and unseen. Satan and his demons tempt every soul to commit evil, especially Jesus's priests within His Christian (Catholic) Church that He founded, and if one's will is, for example, weak, or compromised due to illness, they are more vulnerable to evil temptations.
Just present one case that you're already familiar with and highlight the Christian (Catholic) Church's reason(s) for why they defended the priest, paid the settlement, retired the priest with support, and didn't kick them out.
