I think the politics of white evangelicals in the US lacks sensitivity when it comes to economic issues. For example health care should be provided by the government and available to all. (Christians have neither the resources or will to adequately assist with this problem by means of charitable giving) This is not even a point of debate in other western countries with a much smaller GDP's. Life expectancy in the US is about the same as Cuba because of the vast variation in the provision of health care. Unfortunately Hillary Clinton does not go far enough in addressing these issues. Her stance on many social issues is also antithetical to Christianity. However Trump the presumptive Republican candidate, is hardly much better on the social issues. It is wonder to me that he receives as much support as he does from some, perhaps many, evangelicals and charismatics.
