These were time when the law was not given and sin was not yet recorded in Heaven.
Abraham kept all his wealth, and God continued to bless Abraham to the point he was like a king and could raise armies..
yes, this is such a very interesting historical story
Can we consider the possible explanation that is given in the Bible, that explains, saying -
Gen 13:5 Lot and Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
AND WERE TRAVELING - MOVING - LOOKING FOR A LOCATION TO PROVIDE NOURISHMENT FOR THEM
:6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together. :7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. :8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
:9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
:10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves
These passages show that both Abraham and Lot both were relocating near Sodom and Gomorrah. But soon after this - Abraham moves again farther to the west, - towards Egypt - leaving Lot remaining - near Sodom - to have the better area for grazing and water. But Abraham needed to move away again - because there were too many animals to feed between them.
Also, shortly after this, there was a great war between the Northern and the Southern Kingdoms of the Middle East and Sodom and Gomorrah was right in the middle of the waring Kingdoms.
The Northern Kingdom came down and attacked Sodom and Lot was attacked and kidnapped. THE NORTHERN KINGDOM ATTACKED SODOM AND GOMORRAH - TO TAKE THEIR WEALTH, GOODS AND PROPERTIES TO FUEL THEIR WAR EFFORTS.
Gen 14:10 And the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain. :11 And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
:12 And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
But, Abraham saves the day and fights against those who have taken all of the goods and property of Sodom and Gomorrah and saves Lot his cousin.
Do you think - that Lot was simply trying to survive and moved near Sodom and Gomorrah because he needed a place that was fertile to feed his family and livestock. ? And that Lot simply became trapped in a location that had plenty of water and grazing for his livestock and to move anywhere else seems such a hard impossible burden - CONSIDERING LOT DID NOT HAVE ANY SERVANTS NOR SONS TO HELP HIM
Abraham had many, many servants and workers and had the manpower to move his home but Lot only had daughters and probably no workers or servants.
We see that Lot eventually lost everything he had, I believe he was truly trapped in a location where he could not just pick up his home and move, water and grazing was scarce, there were wars and violent outbreaks and even thieves and murders all around him.
I believe it is very possible if he would have left Sodom without the Angels he would have been faced with horrible problems and loss of life and property for him and his family.
Yes, likely so.yes, it seems Lot was content where he was.
do you think most likely that Sodom slowly began to change over time and just kept getting worse and worse,
perhaps the evil acts in Sodom were not even very noticeable when Lot had first moved there many years ago.
For the record, Abraham even married his half sister, but according to the Law is a sin,
I saw the OP question and answered immediately,NO!

It's wise to read one's reply in context before you counter reply, thanks. For the record, Abraham died about 430 yrs before Moses Law was given......so, Abraham was not under Moses Law.
Nor was Lot or Adam and Eve, and neither were the inhabitants of Sodom & Gomorrah.
You might think its as easy as this to answer but it is not and its far more nuanced than you may like to admit.I saw the OP question and answered immediately,NO!
I would never offer my virgin daughters to be gang raped by a city full of homosexual men.
Nor,were I the father of those daughter, have intercourse with them.
