are you sure satan got sanity?

No, I'm not sure. Personally I have no idea how sane or insane Satan could be, or even if we should think of him is such terms. I know that a lot of people have ideas about Satan's intellectual abilities, or his sanity, things like that, but I feel that is all speculation. We know that angels have great power, and we assume they have great intellect.

Many assume that Satan "knows the Bible inside and out", but then again, the Bible is spiritually understood, and Satan doesn't have the Holy Spirit to teach him. Many assume that Satan knows human nature, although what happened with Job shows that was not true.

Some assume that "Satan believes he can win against God", and therefore that demonstrates he is insane. Can we actually know what he thinks? How could we? Only where we are told, such as in the great tribulation, that he has great wrath because he knows his time is short.

Insane, sane? I don't know. Angry to be backed into a corner, this we know.

I try not to think things about Satan that aren't spelled out in the Bible lest I end thinking of my adversary according to my own imaginations instead of who/what he really is.

God didn't tell us everything He could have, He told us what He chose to, and we do well, I think, to stick with what He said, and recognize when are guesses are masquerading as truth.

Much love!

Definition: "Insane"
in a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill.

As far as the standards of this world go, Satan's behavior and social interactions are totally normal. About how he perceives the world we know from his tempations of Jesus, he thinks it is his to do with as he pleases. So his position is lofty, though the world actually belongs to God.

Satan and his spiritual children among the human race have been afflicted by a self indulgent, self destructive bent. They have sided against God who gave them life. He has become death to this world. The serpent whom eats itself.

So perhaps the definition of insanity should be changed to exclude those abnormal Christians, who do not conform to the standards of this world.
