You're a fake if I ever heard one.
The theory that masturbation is what causes boys to be homosexual has been debunked simply because if it were true, all boys would have become homosexual. There are lots and lots legends like that date back centuries, like the one where girls become lesbians if they don't have sex with a older man before their 14th birthday. Pretty sure, men wanted to belief that one and used it to get young girls to have sex to 'help God save girls from turning into lesbians'. Yep, sounds like some pretty wacko stuff to me too!

^^ let the Lord make that determination, but you're entitled to have your opinion on the issue.

This is no different than when some Christians felt inter-racial marriages was an unforgivable sin and the legalization of it was promoting immortality. Some Christians still believe interracial marriages is a sin, just like some Christians believe a lot things that have been rejected because it no longer fits into Christianity as Christians become more Christ like. We only need to look at the history of Christianity to see that Christianity continues to become a better religion as it lets go of ideas and practices that are not in line with Christ's teachings.

The irony. You draw a parallel of Christians opposing homo's to Christians supporting racism. Instead of those that agree with scripture as is and those that clearly construe it. God is impartial. God wants us to be impartial, James 2 ;). Ie God does not see colour, Jesus died for all mankind. If Jesus can marry an African, so too can his European children ^_^.

Then you say that Christianity is getting more Christ-like when scripture says the opposite...

We could just post them on topics that relate to the subject at hand...like this one ^_^
They will not listen to sound doctrine...perhaps they will listen to testimonies of many ex homosexuals who are now free indeed!

Thanks for that Angelina. Good read indeed! There are quite a few testimonies of gays coming right at my church of late.
Yes, Homosexuals being Christians is a good thing. Where I live, most of the Christians churches welcome homosexuals.

Thanks for sharing that article. With God, all things are possible. If a person really wants to give up homosexuality, it is possible through God. Homosexuality is not something a person is born with. There is no such thing as a "gay gene."

I agree. With God, a person will be free and no longer a slave to sin.

If, in your opinion, there is no genetic reason for a person to be gay, then how do they become gay?

There are two reasons for their being gay:

1. It is a preference disorder like pedophilia. There is no such thing as a pedophilia gene, but some men are attracted more to young children. Other men are also attracted to ONLY blonde females or ONLY Asian females. These are preference disorders. It is normal for men and women to be attracted to each other, but some people have developed certain preferences that are extreme.

2. It is a choice. For example, the 66 year old widow who "suddenly" realized that she is a lesbian after attending a gay retreat most likely chose to be gay so she could be accepted by this group of people who did not make her feel lonely.

There is no known answer, but lots of theories. The most widely accepted theory at this point is that it is genetic, just like heterosexuality is genetic.

Homosexuality official is not considered a disorder (DSM-V) because sexual orientation does not cause harm to the individual nor others.

That is a theory that the gay activists has been shoving down our throats. Science says that there is no "gay gene."

Under this thread, I posted a study showing that a large majority of gay men have a high rate of sexually transmitted diseases mainly because they engage in anal sex. Therefore, it seems to me that their sexual orientation is causing them much harm to themselves and to others when they engage in this type of sexual behavior.

Science has not determined the source, but it remains that the most accepted scientific theory is that sexual orientation is genetic.

What you describe is sexual behavior, which is not the same as sexual orientation. Example, heterosexuals who practice unsafe sex, are at a higher risk of getting sexually transmitted diseases, but that does not make heterosexuality immoral\bad, it simply means some who are heterosexual engage in sexual activities that are unhealthy. Same is true for everyone, irregardless of their sexual orientation.

Sexual orientation does not predetermine sexual behavior\choices

In this case, we know that gay men engage in anal sex. The study concluded that gay men have a much higher rate of STDs than heterosexual men because they engage in anal sex. The study also points out that this is not the case for lesbians because most lesbians do not engage in anal sex. Your mentioning of "sexual orientation" is only a distraction to the REAL problems facing gay men. In the case of gay men, we know that their sexual orientation predetermines that they will engage in anal sex. How else did you expect two gay men to act in bed? Did you honestly think that all they will do is have oral sex with each other and nothing more than that?

P.S. I apologize for the very graphic language.....not suited for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Yes many engage in anal sex, but not all. In recent years many\most homosexuals practice safe sex by using condoms because they know unprotected sex is life threatening. If a study is done that only includes homosexuals that practice unsafe anal sex, then the outcome will be very different than a study of the general homosexual community.

Anal sex is a "sexual behavior"; Its a choice that is made on a individual basis between consenting adults. Many heterosexual men and women enjoy having anal sex, including Christian men and women, so the risk for STDs is equal among everyone who engages in (unprotected) anal sex.

Unprotected oral sex is just as dangerous as anal sex, and oral sex is extremely common among heterosexual and homosexuals equally.

If you had read the research, you would have known that wearing a condom is irrelevant. As I said, the anus was not designed to take anything in. It was designed to take things out. The anus is a delicate mechanism of small muscles that comprise an "exit-only" passage. With repeated friction and stretching, the sphincter loses its tone and its ability to maintain a tight seal. Consequently, anal sex leads to leakage of fecal material that can easily become chronic. The end result is that the fragility of the anus and rectum make anal sex a most efficient manner of transmitting HIV and other infections. The list of diseases found with extraordinary frequency among male homosexual practitioners as a result of anal intercourse is alarming:

Anal Cancer
Chlamydia trachomatis
Cryptosporidium
Giardia lamblia
Herpes simplex virus
Human immunodeficiency virus
Human papilloma virus
Isospora belli
Microsporidia
Gonorrhea
Viral hepatitis types B & C
Syphilis25

It still remains a sexual behavior, which is not sexual orientation. Heterosexuals enage in a extremely wide range of sexual acts, and those are sexual choices they make, it does not mean all heterosexuals make the same choices. Its no different for individual homosexuals, they don't all act the same. Its like saying all Asians have sex exactly the same away because they are Asian.
