I pick bagels! But I never met a donut I didn't like.. come to think of it.
But this thread is evil to me since I'm lo-carb, TITUS2WIFE!. lfh
It's VERY hard being lo-carb and Italian. I miss my pasta THE MOST.

The way I feel on lo carb is like night and day---- but I am not a fan of the food. I can only deal with so many eggs and meats.
I actually lose my appetite and have to force food.
Im supposed to be carnivore currently. It's all good. I won't tell the carb police!!

I don't over indulge. But,I also don't deprive myself either.

My hips are quite toned. And fond of banana splits on occasion too,truth be told lol
Just remember too many banana splits , donuts and ho hos
And oopsy it be time for new clothes , LOL . from size two to twenty two .

I haven't had sugar in years except the holidays when I tried a taste of my daughter's cheese cake. It didn't sit well and I had inflammation for a week. I do make carnivore ice cream although it isn't 100% carnivore because I use real vanilla extract and allulose, and sometimes cacao. Other than that, it is raw heavy cream, collagen powder, tallow, and beef powder... oh, and LMNT electrolytes plus lugol's iodine. Sometimes, I add some organic instant coffee. lol
I brought some to my chiropractor and she loved it ...tastes like regular ice cream.
for too much sugar is indeed a feeder of inflamation nation . The young can get away with it , but only for a sesaon
before it comes a knocking and a tapping at their chamber door .
Knock knock , says mr ritus and his lady flamation , and here meet our uncle arthur . lol .
Sugar and processed foods will surely catch up with the eater and consumer of such in time .

Lady flamation desires to come IN . and soon its INFLAMATION . lol . she a real mean one too .

I've come to love bagels. Recently, a family from Brooklyn started a bagel bakery in our community. Funny thing is, they are Asian, their father having learned the business from a traditional NY bakery. I like mine with jalapeňo cream cheese with a drizzle of honey.

The specific cold proofing of the bagels retards yeast growth and encourages lactic acid bacteria, which gives bagles their special flavor. I've tried it and never got up to the quality of those made by a real professional.
