I have been thinking about a new form of government that might address many problems our current government's are having.

This social system is set-up to govern under the conditions for our basic necessities. It would factor in what human beings require for their survival and quality of life then provide people those things freely. This way no one under this type of government would go without the basic amenities (Such as food, clothing, shelter, heath care) Provided by a industry that the government fund's from tax collected from the working public. However for people who would like more that those basic amenities provided, would work and receive a salary to accommodate their interests.

So the idea here is you get what you need (Basic bottom-line essentials) But if you'd like your own stuff, then you must work for it. No matter what that basic bottom-line will still remain in place. For this type of system of government to be arranged, it would have to understand the difference between what is essential and what is luxury. Essential products are free. Luxury products are purchased.

The flaw in such a scheme, is nothing that cost money, time, or labor, is free.

In other words, what you have described is government sponsored and enforced robbery from those who work, in order to pay those who don't work.

Not a good plan.

No it's not a good plan. It's a great plan, and here's why. Getting a free ride would be getting a basic survival pack to live out your life (Kinda like a generic package) If you do no work and contribute nothing you won't be able to enjoy anything outside the basic bottom-line lifestyle. Sure some people will go for the freeride option, but the incentive is there in a nice way.
I was thinking about how much money governments spend on welfare and endless amounts of resources to solve the never ending poverty of the poor. Maybe the government could just use all that money and resources to build that free bottom-line industry to address the problem forever.

That's just another government welfare program. It doesn't work. It ends in a homeless class to plague the rest of society, who would rather be homeless than receive the freebees with strings attached. That is the problem--there would be strings attached and that would and has been the failure. History has already [currently] proved it.

The only problem I see with this is it doesn't incentivize people to do better. Yes there would be some people who would want to improve themselves and their situation; but when given the choice between working to improve their lot or taking free handouts, many people will opt for the latter. The lure of an easy life would tempt people to be satisfied with less and stop hoping for anything beyond subsistence. That's just human nature; people take the path of least resistance even when they know it's probably not the greatest way to go.

The more leaches there are in the system the less incentive there would be for people to work hard and make an income when their hard-earned money gets taken away to give to the leaches. So the whole thing would just end up making people apathetic and complacent; not that different than things are now. In that kind of environment the atmosphere is perfect for despots and dictators to flourish.

Thats similar to Egalitarian, though I don't think any country has accomplished that form of government fully, though Norway is the closest.

The only government that will address all of the problems we are having is the coming kingdom of God.

Isaiah 9:6

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
