I blame the Board of Education.
They dumbed everybody down real good.
2+2 = 5
They don't teach Civics in school, but that is changing now.
They don't want the people "church" to know how anything works.
Kind of like they want to control what is taught and learned.
Pretty sure the "church" has been through that before.
Can anyone say Latin?
Civics education has significantly declined in American schools since the 1960s, leading to a generation of students who are less informed about their government and civic responsibilities. Research shows that many Americans, especially younger individuals, struggle to identify basic governmental functions and rights . This gap in knowledge poses a risk to democracy, as a well-informed citizenry is crucial for a functioning republic . Parents overwhelmingly support the teaching of civics, emphasizing the importance of understanding the nation’s founding principles and historical figures.
