Locating the True Sabbath
One of the most complete word pictures of resurrection events is found in the Gospel of Luke, and here we read the fourth reference to the first day of the week. “This man (Joseph of Arimathaea) went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on” (Luke 23:52–54).

Before reading further, let us carefully examine the inspired description of this crucifixion day. The vast Christian majority agrees that these events transpired on the day we now call Good Friday. Here it is called the “preparation” day, because it was a time for making special arrangements for the approaching Sabbath. In fact, the text states very simply “the sabbath drew on.” This means that it was coming up next.

What else happened on that day Jesus died? “And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment” (Verses 55, 56).

During the rest of that fateful Friday, the devoted women bought the anointing materials and made further preparation for their Sunday morning visit to the tomb. Then, as the Sabbath was ushered in at sunset, they “rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.” This identifies that holy day as the specific weekly Sabbath of the Ten Commandments and not the Passover or some other feast-sabbath that could have fallen on any day of the week.

What a completely imbecilic and hypocritical LIE!

Barny Fife states that a picture or event of Jesus’ <resurrection> is found in Luke 23:52:54. But he continues to explain <<let us carefully examine the inspired description of this crucifixion day>>; <<What else happened on that day Jesus died?>>; <<that fateful Friday>>.

Are <resurrection events found> in Luke 23:52-54, or does Luke 23:52-54 <<describe what happened on that day – this crucifixion day - Jesus died>>?

Is this an accidental blunder, or is this standard methodology of SUNDAY worship apologetics TO DECEIVE?! This is no imbecilic and hypocritical LIE, it is most, too clever, false Christian, con-art !

I think you are the one making the blunder.
You say: Barny Fife states that a picture or event of Jesus’ <resurrection> is found in Luke 23:52:54.

But he doesn't say that. He says: One of the most complete word pictures of resurrection events is found in the Gospel of Luke, and here [in the Gospel of Luke] we read the fourth reference to the first day of the week.
He then starts with the cruxifixion day and with Luke 23:52-54.

It's perfectly clear and no error.

<<Barny Fife states that a picture or event of Jesus’ <resurrection> is found in Luke 23:52:54.>> OK? No, not OK! What have you done now? You have misquoted BF. BF wrote Luke 23:52-54, not, <<Luke 23:52:54>>. Useless information in any case.
But you made your own conclusions. Where you go future to the resurrection, BF went past, back to the crucifixion to elaborate on crucifixion <events> on the day of the crucifixion according to him and all the Sunday resurrectionists -- which ALSO did not happen between Luke 23:52 and 54 or even 56.

Now I pointed out that BF did not make a blunder, but that he just used standard -universal- methodology, in other words, that he simply copy-cats the thousands of Sunday Resurrectionist propagandists who TWIST the day in between Luke 20:50-56 and between Mark 15:45-47 and between Matthew 27:57-61 and between John 19:31-42, into the day BEFORE which began in Luke 22:7,14 Mark 14:17,20 Matthew 26:17,20 and John 13:1,30.

If BF did not use this common trick of Sunday worship fraudsters, still, how can he <<then start_ with the cruxifixion day and with Luke 23:52-54>>?

Crazy!

Ok, so I made a tiny typo. You know perfectly well it was a typo.

BF started at the cucifixion day and I presume he went forward from there. I can't check because you failed to give a link to his post (or give the post number). Was that a Blunder or is that your Methodology?

You didn't explain at all how BF twisted anything. You just launched into him with false accusations. Is that your normal Methodology?

--you could not have <<presumed he went on from there>> writing about <<resurrection events>> because he wrote about <crucifixion events>.
Please, again, please think, HOW did it happen that you are now arguing with me? THE SAME WAY IT SO HAPPENS TIME AND AGAIN WITHOUT EXCEPTION THAT PEOPLE DO NOT READ AND SEE, BUT READ AND ARE BLIND, BECAUSE THIS METHODOLGY IS AS OLD AS SUNDAY WORSHIP based on the ASSUMPTION of a Sunday Resurrection.
Nothing else; there's nothing strange about it, it IS TRADITION since the beginning of the first implementation of this TRICK because all Christians were Sunday bedotted already, when it was first implemented.
Fifty years now am I trying to help Christians see this. No success I know of so far. O God have mercy

Yes!
Luke 23 from verse 50 is about "That Day the Preparation" and JOSEPH, and the women and the GRAVE;
So is
Mark 15 from verse 42 is about "the Preparation which is the Fore-Sabbath" and JOSEPH, and the two Marys and the GRAVE;
So is
Matthew 27 from verse 57 about "the Preparation" which STARTED "EVENING having come" and JOSEPH, and the two Marys and the GRAVE;
And so is
John 19 from verse 31/38 about "the Preparation" which STARTED and the Jews and Joseph and Nicodemus "in That Night" and the GRAVE.

Luke 23:50-56 was NOT THE DAY OF RESURRECTION and it was NOT THE DAY OF CRUCIFIXION -- yes yes yes thank God YOU SEE!

No, I'm sorry, but I won't bother you with WHY not, it's not a lekker storie.

When people start getting hysterical about their weird beliefs I drop out. It's not worth further effort.
Goodbye.
