I purchased several books through a book club several years ago and want to know if anyone else has read them. The books are The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of its Sacred Texts by Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman and Rabbi Jesus: An Intimate Biography by Bruce Chilton.Thanks in advance for any imput.

I'm not familiar with either of these texts. Perhaps if you had read them you could share your thoughts and let us know what you think. I'm always looking for books by people who are learned and have something to put forth (I tend to skip over the "inspiration" and prayer books myself).
