not over believers but his members Christians and believers are catechumens not Christians
Using your own dictionary or your own definitions? What is the difference between a Christian [follower of Christ] and a believer in Christ? As for 'catechumen', that word is not to my knowledge used or commonly known in any non-Catholic churches where the people believe in God and His Son. If you do not communicate, what purpose do your posts here serve?

Did You learn everything there is to Know about Faith and the Gospel overnight?
Did You learn temperance overnight?
Did you learn to be patient overnight and learn to wait upon the LORD?
When You were first saved di you live Godly life, or were you still struggling with sin?
Did You immediately love all your brethren when you were saved?
Did you love your enemies immediately when you were saved?

No thee are all areas we grow in and mature in over time in our Spiritual journey.

Jesus Prays over all believers: "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" (John 17:17) Time is what it takes to be sanctified.

Our sanctification is also based on what we don’t do - and NOT doing something isn’t a work:

1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

1Th 4:4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

1Th 4:5 not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;

1Th 4:6 that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.

1Th 4:7 For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.

1Th 4:8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
