Right, that's the question.
What is the "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit,"?
In Mark 3, the verse about unforgiveness comes after the Pharisees say that Jesus has "an unclean spirit." So, they are insulting the Holy Spirit. It very much fits the idea of blasphemy (saying not-so-nice things about someone).

Hebrews 6 seems to have a different idea. There, those who have been converted and received the Holy Spirit, but have subsequently rejected God, cannot repent a second time.

There is some overlap between those two things. Both are rejections of God.

Still seems strange that any sin is "unforgivable".
And even stranger when it is titled "the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit."
I think we put it down to unrepentance. Repentance is sort of the requirement for forgiveness in the Bible... and by repentance I mean agreement with God, or acquiescence to His rule.
