For your consideration, two passages of scripture:

“that you might know the certainty concerning the things in which you were instructed.”

(Luke 1:4, WEB)

and

“for the words which you have given me I have given to them; and they received them, and knew for sure that I came from you.”

(John 17:8, WEB)

Meditating on these two passages may help ease your anxiety.

Trust is personal. That’s what made the difference for me.

Ernie, if the message of the gospel presented to us doesn't inspire certainty, it can be deducted there is something wrong with the message.
Certainty is inherent in the good news believed......it's wonder unfolding more and more as we learn of Jesus.

Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
