When I first saw Christ as the life of every born again believer and began to preach and teach about that someone once said to me, "all you talk about is Christ."
As I began to see Christ in the scriptures I understood every believer needed a revelation of the indwelling Christ. Paul's gospel came by "the revelation of Jesus Christ." Paul's gospel came by the revelation of the indwelling Christ. Paul's gospel was "the mystery of Christ in you the hope of glory." Gal. 1:11-12

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Also look at Galatians 1:15-16

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

The certified gospel Paul preached was "the revelation of the mystery of Christ in you." There was a point in time in Paul's young Ministry God revealed Christ in Paul. As an honest bible student have you ever asked the question "what is the true gospel." How do I know I'm getting the fullness that God intended humanity to live by.
You may ask;.I believe in the Cross, the Resurrection, and the Ascension. How do I put the rest of the scriptures together. Would God provide such glorious salvation and leave the believer to try and figure it out on their own.
How to put it together, how to live it, what to do with the most powerful event to ever happen in this world.
Yet it seems some are left in the dark feeling through life trying to make some since of it all.

The good news is it has been revealed, it was given to our wonderful Apostle Paul to give to us, Ephesians 3:2-4

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

Why should I read Paul; because reading Paul you get the understanding of God for the intention of creation before the foundation for the world, and the mystery (Christ) revealed to you, and in you, Eph. 3:8-9

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

You must read all Ephesians and see how Paul handles the mystery. He never uses the words born again, always referring to the indwelling Christ as a mystery, a mystery that has been revealed.
You see dear friend we have no excuse for not knowing Christ that lives in the believer, it is revealed to us through the Apostle Paul in written form to be revealed by the HolySpirit.

When we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, the question will not be did you believe right, did you give your money and time right, or even did you pray and fast right. The question will be "what did you do with my Son," the Son that we have as our life and message.

The deep things of God is "Christ in you," you can not go any deeper in God than Christ in.
Paul makes the in Christ reference over 150 times.
We have to study the word and look for Christ in the word, who is the word, in you, 1 Cor. 2:9-11

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

There is a LOT of talk about the Christ within. The free sample stuff. But you hear NOTHING about entering into Christ...the part that makes us overcomers. You hear nothing of the cross WE are to bear. It's all about the "done deal" or "finished work".

But our work remains unfinished. Many will say that we won't be judged by our works. But these need either to dust off their bibles and read them....or take a reading comprehension course.

Paul exhorts Christians....who already have the indwelling Christ...to PUT ON CHRIST.

Do people even know what that means? Or the cost of it?

So then we receive Christ as a free sample. But to activate the life contained within us...we need to go to the cross. US! His work is finished. Jesus is not our dumping ground. He has made it possible to enter into His life.....by seeking the Lord's face. Then the death of Jesus AND the life of Jesus are given to us. How? BY putting on the New Man....Jesus Christ.

When we go to the cross we can THEN put on Christ. THAT is where the victory is. That is where the resurrection life is. We need to get out of the way to allow His life to take over. We need to get off the throne of our own lives.

But this holy doctrine very few can bear. Even fewer will seek the Lord for it. it is the sign of the end times that the church and the world are all in unbelief.

I think the misunderstanding is; knowing Christ in you as your only life the believer is greater works.
It is no longer just an I, but Christ that lives in believers and as he recognized the need of the world when he was in it, still the need is there.
Doer religion confuses Christ as our life, with no works.
Believers that know Christ as life do more, they give more, they see the need of the world and act.
Always having in the ready the message of life to those that will hear.
It is more than an understanding or message, it is a lifestyle.
Spontaneous living, no working it up, you dont pray it up, it doesn't come from man's doctrine or a man, it just is. It doesnt fit religion because they can not contol it.

I'm not talking about a lifestyle....but a supernatural walk in the power of Christ.

Of course a devout person can improve their lives by submitting and even imitating Christ. There may even be a "warmth" of grace in it.

But I'm talking about the fire...the walk fully immersed in the Spirit. A walk in Zion...seeing Zion. Seeing light and perceiving this world as completely foreign. Living FROM another realm entirely...just like Jesus did. Being literally strangers and aliens here.

This is the full power of grace available to us when we enter INTO Christ...

Not just..."not ONLY" I

But NOT "I" at all.

Dead. And alive! Resurrection power and life.

Our POSITION in the Kingdom is at risk by our works..or not...

SALVATION IS a finished work. We do NOT HELP Jesus save us!!!

You need to take off your blinkers and read Paul all over again , without your preconceived mind set.

Of course it is. Paul was afraid of losing his place...he was afraid of being disqualified...cut off. And he warns those who actually read their bibles of the same thing.

WE are called to follow Christ. The ball is in OUR court. I thought you would know that.

Precisely the opposite is true. I am reading without prejudice as a believer. Paul warns us that God did NOT spare the natural branches...and MANY Christians will be likewise rejected...because of grace...unfulfilled.

Epi, you speak a strange doctrine of salvation here. Your confusion here is works of self as a believer as being blessed or sanctioned by God as spiritual works that gain credit in the Kingdom. You previously spoke of unbelievers gaining righteousness in the eyes of God and now you have found a way to apply the same thing to believers...self-works.
//

The worn-out expression that ‘the ball is in our court,’ is an expression an unbeliever would use who relies solely on his own will. It is a cooperative and team- shared ball of faith that gets us to our salvation and finish line as in kicking a ‘goal.’ For team Jesus….

As a believer, ‘the ball’ is never in my own court or on my side of the court. It is always shared in God’s holy righteousness through the spirit of Christ. I walk together with him in sanctification, and not behind or ahead of him dribbling the ball alone in my own self-righteousness and self-holiness.

As Billy Graham in one of his sermons concerning ‘following Christ’ stated: He started with a Luke quote:

Jesus said, “Whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish” (Luke 14:27-30).

Later he said:

“Think of your life as a house. You have a ring of keys to that house. When you respond to the call of Christ, you give God the key to the front door of your house. You commit your life to Christ as Savior and Lord. In response to God’s call to consecration, you give the other keys to God. For a mother or a father it means that you give your baby to Christ. For a businessman it means that you give God the key to your business. For a student it means that you give God the key to your education. You give God the key to your romance, to your future marriage. He becomes Lord. The Bible tells us, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him” (Colossians 2:6).”

//

Bearing or carrying our cross means depending on Christ for everything if that was possible; letting his spirit control ours spirit that results is an ongoing merging and binding of the two spirits.

We do not operate with our own will to follow Christ, we yield it to Christ’s spirit. We need to learn this as babies to adults and into our last years.

As we walk with and in Christ we always carry our cross as he did. Unfortunately, because we also have corrupt baggage that is slowly being separated from of our spirit, as we correspondingly become ever merged in with Christ’s spirit, it still will affect our walk. This corruption will always eventually make us ‘drop’ our cross; we stop yielding our will to Christ, even for moments. Over time, fortunately, we learn through this process, gaining more faith given to us by Christ’s spirit. to go further each time.

This is what Paul was speaking of in the race and the prize. Paul was so fixed on this goal of perfection, with a COMPLETE merger of his self with Christ’s spirit, with NO corrupt baggage, that he did not want to be disqualified. Of course, he could never be perfect by his own means. His corrupt nature could not be separate from him. His faith in Christ would not completely fail him however as with ANY one else as to be disqualified. Jesus’ spirit in us or merging with us over time, as believers, made than impossible. Jesus and his Father will never let us go. We are in Jesus’ spirit as Jesus’ spirit is in God’s spirit, the source of all living spirits. We are in one family linked with the same one spirit – and thus we are all in one baptism of Christ. We live in Christ. Some more in him than others. Nevertheless, we are still in him.

Bless you,

APAK

If a person does not grow, he stagnates and dies.

This old temple of flesh which houses all that we have is dying... even in the young people. I recall in school they speaking of the dying cells being replaced by the new cells. In a teenager the new cells grow faster that the old cells die. As the result the body grows bigger and stronger, but as time goes by the ability of the body to produce new cells weakens and slows. Eventually at an optimum point the young strong person will begin to show signs of aging. The new cell production falls behind the rate at which the old cells die. Eventually natural death of the body will occur. This is definite for all of us. That is the old man living in a dying world... his world.

While the physical old man yet lives the yearnings of the old man continue unless they are overcome. The old man lives in the world, the world of each individual person. They include what?

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." I John 2:16

Jesus did two very important things. First He overcame his own world of his yearnings: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. He did that before he went to the cross.

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

That he was able to do by the Word and Spirit of God:

The rewards of an overcomer include these and if a person does not overcome he receives none of these promises:

Rev 2:7, Rev 2:11, Rev 2:17, Rev 2:26, Rev 3:5, Rev 3:12, Rev 3:21.

He was the perfect example for us. He did in the flesh that which we must also do in flesh to enable us to go through the gate. He made a way where there was no way. He became that Door/Gate for us:

"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:9

But only overcomers may go through the Door/Gate and eat to the Tree of Life. There the several promises to overcomers as per the verses in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 shown above... we should especially not forget is this one:

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." Rev 2:7
If we do not eat of the tree of life, we will not live forever:

"And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life." Gen 3:22-24
Jesus overcame the world, but it was not planet Earth that he overcame. He overcame all of the ways of the flesh in himself which when and if followed would have led him to sin:

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." I John 2:16

A second thing that Jesus did was go to the cross, but he was already an overcomer at that point. Notice that that after he had overcome the world [John 16:33] and he said he was no longer in the world even though yet he still was on planet Earth. He was no longer in the world of temptations of the man Jesus for he had overcome all of the temptations of his world. [ Heb 4:15 ] He was out of it.

"And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are." John 17:11

He was no longer in the world because he was the first overcomer of the ways of man. He was ready to go to the cross a perfect, flawless sacrifice.

No one could follow his example and overcome until the sin was all gone from them. So Jesus overcomer and flawless as he was went to cross to clean the slate for us. He paid the price for our sins.

Once he had paid the price for us it was still necessary for each of us to then overcome our world of temptations so that we could go through the Gate and eat of the Tree of Life and live forever.

Without Jesus, for us it was an impossible thing because no man could overcome. Jesus paid our debt and then sent the Holy Ghost so that we could overcome the temptations that would lead us to sin again. With the Holy Ghost in us... if we follow as we are led, if we do not quench the Holy Spirit in us, we will incur no further debts.

Jesus did his work. We must do our work. His was finished on the cross. Ours is finished when we have overcome all of our world of temptation and sin no more.

Here people will want to say it is impossible for anyone to overcome as Jesus overcame. That my friends is calling Jesus a liar and he is not:

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

We are to do the work of overcoming by the power of the Holy Ghost in us.
