Did you know that Phillippians 3 is the most physiological book in the bible. If you have never really divided soul and spirit this is the place to learn. We must understand that Paul was the greatest psychologist that has ever lived because he can tell you what makes a human being. He tells you what makes them tick so to speak. He divides soul and spirit to where the believer can know how to divide as well. Phillippians 3 is where Paul tells us he got his identity straightened out and what he did with his old past understanding and identity.
You know why we have such trouble doing this, giving up our old identity; because it makes us who we are. It traumatizes some because of the abuse they have been through. It will be the freedom we want but at the same time to be told this is who I am when I have lived with the false identity all my life is traumatizing for some.
Example; most when they stand to testify start by saying I once was a sinner and God has saved me. Your partially right, you were a sinner and God has saved you but you were not the original sinner. You sinned by your nature, you were a sinner by nature and you were not the original sinner Satan was. So you partook of that sin and were held accountable but it was not you. You were created in the image and likeness of God, not in the image and likeness of Satan.
You want more good news read your bible the (gospel) way it should be read. Lay off straightening out the world for a while and get yourself fixed a little. Get your mind fixed, allow the HolySpirit to work on you. Nothing to be afraid of. We fight off everything with what we believe, we believe if the world really knew how I believed they would see me as right no matter what. You know what you do in your fixed beliefs! You deny people Christ! How do I do that; Christ should be coming out of you as distinct as you are, there is no other like you to bear the life and fruit of the life that is in you.
Can I give a thought that you might want to dwell on! People don't really give two hoots about what you believe, only you do, it makes you who you are. They need to see Him, they need Jesus and the only way that is going to happen is if you live it and talk about it and share the life that is in you. I bet if you allow Christ the room you will see the fruit of the Spirit come out of you. You have been trying to work all this up and it may work for a minute but nothing sustainable, we are not designed like that, you cannot love continually but He does, you are not joy but He is.
Everything is provided in Christ, Your in Christ but it must be accessed. Don't let anything separate you from Christ that is in you, learn Christ paul say, the Christ that is in you, Galatians 1:10-12,
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
You see there is a certified gospel that cannot be taught by man. This gospel was not just Paul's, it belongs to the child of God.
