Luke 13:6-9 Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’“‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’”

As the world waxes worse and worse what is set before us a time line of events that represent the culmination of all things. We know it as the “time of sorrows” or “the great Tribulation” spoken of in the book of Revelation (Other passages Daniel 7, Mathew 24, 2 Thessalonians 2). These apocalyptic passages have been waiting for fulfillment for a very long time and it appears that we are right on the cusp of the return of Christ. However are we truly ready to meet with our Maker?

The majority of believers, if they are honest, would say that they look for the return of Christ to be their moment of transformation. They finally get to shed the darkness and put on new clothes. Though that is a promise that is offered to us in Christ it does not mean we don’t need renovation. The Christian life is one of throwing off the old and embracing the new. It’s about renewing the mind and becoming more like Jesus in our attitudes and actions.

Does this mean we are capable of impressing God the Father with our good works?

No, not at all; instead we can only impress Him with our fanatical love for His Son. To want Jesus more than the things of this world let’s us gain the true prize. For this reason a saint will often experience hardships that buffet the flesh while at the same time prompting us cry out to the Savior. But don’t think that God has to create new and inventive hardships in order to get our attention. The strongest opposition comes about from the way in which we hold on to this world.

Romans 8:6-8 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

Wherever we are still linked with the fallen nature it will lead to strife and conflict. You know the principle; “what you sow is what you reap”. However if we leave behind this fallen world we can experience the peace and safety afforded us in the grace of God. God’s grace separates us from our former way of life and covers a multitude of sins.

Romans 8:27-28 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

With the commencement of the Tribulation in 2020 we need more than ever to capture the grace of God. So what is expected of us?

Since we are in the book of Revelation notice that the book opens with the churches of Asia Minor. These churches and their message are for our benefit as well. They support the notion that man is blinded by his fallen nature and suffers without a course correction dealt by the hand of God. Yet to still be owned by the world on any front means we remain susceptible to its destructive nature. How we then choose to maneuver “through” this valley of the shadow will determine how much of the grace of God can actually reach us.

The Prophet Isaiah gives us a picture as to what is occurring if we remain compromised, but do keep in mind that many of “our Idols” today remain hidden in the heart; it’s a heart issue that needs correcting first and foremost.

Isaiah 30:15-18 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’ Therefore you will flee! You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’ Therefore your pursuers will be swift! A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away, till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill.” Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

I don’t want to make light of what we are facing especially if the Lord is a God of Justice. We are two steps away from entering into the kingdom of God in a new and unexplored way. I am personally convinced that we have a few months left since three plus years of agenda 21 have already passed. /christian-news/2022/05/agenda-21-is-our-intro-to-the-tribulation-of-revelation-9-2607995.html

The return of Christ will either hide us away during the most severe time of God’s wrath (final 3.5 years) or something more commonly known as the rapture will take place. Now this is not a time to argue eschatology; the emphasis is on whether you as a Christian have gained God’s full protection or are suffering unnecessary consequences. Those committed to seeking God’s face can lighten the load by being seated with Him in heavenly realms. Let me explain.

The battle we are facing is first and foremost a spiritual one. If the Devil and his antichrist son is alive and well during this time of sorrows, then wherever we remain under his thumb “spiritually” we remain vulnerable in physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual ways. This is where compromise in life and faith paints a target on our backs. Yet to seek for innocence in Christ is setting aside the right of the world to lay claim to us. The key here is a righteous life minimizes the right of evil to use and abuse us. So coming free of our fallen Adamic nature on every front lets us gain a greater assurance that we remain in the will of God. What does that mean “Remain in the will of God”?

Obtaining a greater victory in Christ minimizes our exposure to dark men and dark circumstances; it hides us away in God. But it doesn’t mean that this time of darkness doesn’t impose uncomfortable measures upon us. It simply means that we have confidence in Christ that we are in His will and able to endure a time of testing. Just as significant it means at the right time we can stand and fight against the darkness putting on the full armor of God. This is where the Word lets us know that we will experience both of these scenarios in the days ahead.

Daniel 7:25 And he (the antichrist) shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.26“‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High.

End of the Age Of God's Grace?:

Great GRACE Departure! 3 months? or speculation ( I have heard for 44 years )?
Hi Grace, Looks like you have a couple of questions in your reply.
Yes the time we have left is for cleaning the inside of our cup. To help that process along, I've been pledged to write three books, that deal with our human condition and how Jesus sets us free. The books are free in PDF Form.

Out from the Shadow of Other Gods

Every Christian is desperate for a true relationship and life changing experience with God, but our most prevalent model of success and failure has been religion. The things that have been taught us have had more to do with man’s search for a god, rather than in God showing us His ways. There is a place where religion dies and genuine relationship begins. The first in a series, the author provides a platform for change and a simple yet powerful way out from the trappings of humanities religion. Ministering with honor to the pastor as well as to the prodigal and revealing a surprising bounty of Jesus in every page. Get ready to be encouraged, challenged, and renewed in your walk of faith.

The Shadow of the Spiritual

Got Spirit?

That’s an interesting question, but after two thousand years of Christian history, maybe we should be asking “which spirit?” Though the Christian faith has been provided with a sure foundation in Christ, our propensity to get worldly or even religious has actually pushed us past safe boundaries. There is a quagmire of spiritual alternatives all vying for our attention, yet none of them has anything to do with a true faith in Jesus. “The Shadow of the Spiritual” is meaty, thought provoking, in-depth look into the rising tide of spiritual pollution within the Church. Its lingering effects remain oppressive and damaging to any believer who desires a pure expression of relationship with the Son of God. This self help book is a must read for any Christian wanting to understand how improper spiritual connections get formed, fed and how unhealthy spiritual bondage gets passed around. Yet, by embracing a simple biblical truth, we can separate ourselves from all sorts of added trouble. The second in a series, the author provides a platform for change and a simple yet powerful way out from the trappings of humanities many fallen exploits.

Lord I Want To Change!

Is It time for a change? The Christian life is not always an easy life. Though we are assured that all things have become new, “New life” may end up looking a lot like the old one. This is due to our inability to properly transition away from certain worldly influences. A growing number of our troubles include the weight of family dysfunction, years of social conditioning and any number of personal failures remaining a black mark on our record. All of these issues have a tendency to warp our sense of “self” and we walk through life emotionally crippled; yet Jesus has other plans for us. The Bible provides the Christian a “get out of jail free card”. Jesus offers us a simple and effective way of escape out from the trappings of a difficult past. If you have ever wondered whether there is more to the Christian life, then get ready to be encouraged, challenged, and set free in your walk of faith.

Holy Spirit Prophecy 2023

There will be no rapture in 2023, repent and turn back to the WORD = Matt ch24, Daniel, Apostles writings, Genesis & Revelation

Anyone predicting a rapture in 2023 is speaking false prophecy.

I'm not prophesying and I am thoroughly committed to the Word. But what is gained if the Lord tarries? How about Believer's that are now more commited than ever to seeking the face of Jesus at the end of the age. Remember the bride plays a part in being made ready. If one commits to a post-trib view then it is just as easy to fall asleep as if having pre-trib expectations.

If we commit ourselves to Christ then we believe every word that proceeds from the Mouth of God.
Therefore, we have a direct statement(commandment) from the LORD concerning His Return/Resurrection/rapture = Matt ch24
We also have direct statements of fact/truth from the Apostles that AGREE with the words of Christ.

AGREE = We are warned by the LORD that whether 'Post or pre' we must be careful not to drift away.

Luke 21:34-36
But watch yourselves, or your hearts will be weighed down by dissipation, drunkenness, and the worries of life—and that day will spring upon you suddenly like a snare. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of all the earth.
So keep watch at all times, and pray that you may have the strength to escape all that is about to happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”

The verse actually makes my case for me.
'strength to escape all that is about to happen"

Rev 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.

JESUS makes specific the things we must escape:
#1 - protect your hearts from
a.) carousing
b.) drunkeness
c.)worries of this life

Revelation 3:10 is not a declaration of pre-trib rapture but it is a Promise from the Lord that He will keep for Himself a selected group of Saints alive on earth to experience with Joy = His Second Coming.

Promise = "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
1 Cor 15:51-52
