What shall we say then? Is Torah sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through Torah; for I would not have known about coveting if Torah had not said, “YOU SHALL NOT COVET.” (Romans 7:7)

Our very concept of "sin" is derived from Judaism.

This statement does not make any sense?
Granted that Yahweh knew what would happen. But no, no Christian sect in the Old Testament.
One of those Sunday School questions.......Why did God wait so long? Why not start salvation with Adam and Eve and their children?
YES, it does when you read Genesis

"Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we exist."
- 1 Corinthians 8:6a

Another core Christian doctrine derived from Judaism. Where we depart from Judaism is part b of the same verse.
In CHRIST we never depart from Judaism = we walk in it's fulfillment AND Beyond

Agreed, but my point there was that part b of that verse is, "and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him." The recognition of Jesus Christ as our Lord is a non-negotiable point of departure.

BTW, I have the 1 Corinthians 8:6 verse on a plaque on my wall, as a reminder of what WE'RE all about. I could do worse.

Baptism is derived from Jewish purification rituals and the Eucharist (or Holy Communion) is derived from the Passover Seder. How can anyone claim Christianity is not derived from Judaism?

AGREE
and
look at the 3

#1- One Lord Jesus Christ
#2 - by Whom ALL things exist = pre-dates Judaism whereby Judaism is Found-Edu in the Word that was God
#3 - we Exist thru HIM

Judaism isn’t mentioned once in the Old Testament. Judaism uses the oral Torah, Mishnah, Babylonian Talmud. Judaism is Kabbalah.

To convert to Judaism one must deny the divinity of Christ Jesus.

Jesus said :

Matthew 23:15 (KJV) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

A proselyte is a convert to Judaism in the context of Matt 23:15. That alone should tell you Judaism isn’t and has nothing to do with I AM or Jesus.

Given the incredible detail I AM gave Moses, and the prophets considering all manner of things to include the details of the Ark, Tabernacle, Temple, Law et al it’s not an oversight that Judaism isn’t mentioned once.

Only people who don’t know any better think Judaism is the Old Testament.

The Promise by Faith was given FIRST to Abraham, even 430 years prior to the law of Moses being given. That's what Paul said.

Hey dude find the word promise in the actual Old Testament scriptures.
Abraham was great but Christians are children of God, that is better.

Gal 3:13-14
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, 'Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:'

Amen.

Jesus also said this about them...
Jesus critiqued 2nd-Temple-era Judaism from the position of an insider, not an outsider. As did Paul later. Judaism has a long tradition of self-critique; an admirable tradition. (Even if those being critiqued don't appreciate it.)

Jesus said:
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do...
That sounds like a ringing endorsement of Judaism right there.

Of course. Religions evolve, just like Christianity has evolved to something different than was practiced by the early church.
That’s the thing, Gods Word doesn’t change. So if a religion is evolving….its not Gods Word.

Isaiah 40:8 (KJV) The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

That’s why Jesus came to fulfill not destroy:

Matthew 5:17 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

1 John 2:22-23 (KJV) 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

Judaism is heresy and Antichrist…in as much as Islam or Buddhism and all the rest. They are all antirchrist..

Oh? Christianity doesn't require circumcision, we don't observe Shabbat, we eat pork and shellfish.... What happened to God's unchanging Word?

Judaism as a religion Apostle Paul called "the Jew's religion". It is not... the basis of Christianity.

Judaism is the religion that came into existence in the era of the Jew's captivity to Babylon. That is where the original paleo-Hebrew characters of the Hebrew alphabet became corrupted into block letters of today. It is when the Jews started using Aramaic as their main language instead of Hebrew (except in some religious functions). It is where the Jew's Babylonian Talmud sage text was compiled, which they follow as their Judaism tradition, yet Lord Jesus rebuked.

Matt 15:1-3
15 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 "Why do Thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread."
3
But He answered and said unto them, "Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
KJV

The Jews pretended to follow God's law, and they were adamant in trying to enforce God's law upon others, but they themselves did not follow it. They followed the traditions of their Babylonian Talmud sage philosophical writings instead, even as it is to this day.

Jesus also said this about them...

Matt 15:7-9
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 "This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoureth Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me."
9
But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
KJV

Lord Jesus also said about them...

Matt 23:1-7
23 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to His disciples,
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works:
for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
KJV

Christianity did NOT... come from that! And that is what the religion of Judaism is and was about even at the time of Jesus' 1st coming to die on the cross. The enemy ("tares") had crept in before and during their Babylon captivity, and distorted the true old covenant worship of God. Christianity instead is based on the Old Testament prophets and witness of Christ's Apostles and the witness by Lord Jesus Himself before and after He was crucified, having appeared to His disciples after His resurrection and chose Apostle Paul to preach The Gospel to the Gentiles, and to kings, and to the children of Israel, and gave us His Book of Revelation through His servant John.
What you are not seeing is the difference between righteousness and holiness. What has been replaced is the holiness aspect of Judaism. The righteousness aspect has not. In fact in many ways the Jews are STILL more righteous than most Christians. How? They allow for others beside themselves to be seen as righteous.

Now holiness is a completely other thing. No Jew ever walked in the perfection of Christ unless they first entered INTO Christ. Likewise those who think they are under grace but are not. Otherwise they too would be walking in Christ's perfection without sin. So then we have gone backward in the church doctrines....being neither righteous nor holy...denying both.

Judaism uses the oral Torah, Mishnah, Babylonian Talmud.
The Mishnah and Talmud are just the Rabbi's interpretations on how Torah, the Writings, and the Prophets should be applied to real life. Baptists, Pentecostals, Methodists, Catholics, Eastern Orthodox all have their own interpretations of the Old and New Testament writings. As does every Tom, Dick, and Harriet on this forum.

Some Christians have issues with change but the scriptures are all about change.
Thing changed when Adam and Eve were booted out of paradise.
Things changed between Adam and Eve and Abraham. Abraham effectively started the Yahwist religion.
Things changed between Abraham and Moses and the Mosaic Law.
Things changed when the Temple was built.
Things changed when the Temples were destroyed.
Things changed when the Israelite kingdoms were conquered.
Things changed with the advent of Jewish-Christians
And there was a big change when Paul welcomed Pagans into Christianity. Before that there were Mosaic Laws against any agreement or accord with Pagans. For the Pagans, the Law was kill all that breathed.
The Jews were expecting Elijah to come down in a fiery chariot and introduce the Messiah. (That is why all the questions about Elijah in the New Testament.) They were expecting for the Messiah to be a human warlord king that would take out their oppressors in the Terrible Day of the Lord. This human warlord king would establish his kingdom that would last forever and the Mosaic Law and animal sacrifices would go on forever. None of that happened....so that was a change.
Yeshua said, blessed are the peace makers. And He did not tell the Jews or Christian to rebel against Rome.
The phrase God so love the world does not appear in Old Testament scriptures.
The phrase kill all that breaths would not come out of Yeshua's mouth.
The religion went from God fearing to God loving.
The Mosaic Law does not apply to Christians, that is a change.

I’ve already told you the answer to those questions multiple times, but you aren’t interested in answers.
You TOTALLY evaded my questions, again. Do you even have a sacrifice for your sins? You CAN'T be under the Law and the New Covenant both!

A title which Lord Jesus NEVER applied to Himself.
He didn't have to. Nearly everybody was saying it for Him. lol

He NEVER denied it!

Matthew 2:2
2 saying, "Where is He who has been born
King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

OK, but in today's Jerusalem the Ultra-Orthodox Jews still burn New Testament Bibles.

And western history in Europe even shows how many of them refused to convert to Jesus and were forced to flee from country to country until they were able to return to the holy land. Even today, they exist in as unbelievers in just about all major cities. So there's no doubt a lot more unbelieving Jews in the world than you may think.
ZERO proof!
