Isaiah 9:6-7

6.For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

It's hard to pick just one!

I like the faithfulness of God in providing the star to lead the magi to Jesus.

Much love!

As i said last night , thems some happy looking sheep .
see the one lying down . That expression is the smile on my face WHEN i get the sudden reminder
OF the COMING OF THE KING . HOMEWARD bound my friend . till then , armour up
cause times will speedily only get worse and far more deceptive by even the day .

I have always been drawn to Mary and the fact that she pondered things in her heart, she was so humble and yet her world would have been turned upside down with this news, at the time she would have no idea how Joseph was going to react.

Three gifts, not necessarily three kings. Agreed.

I don't know where the Bible names meanings for these, do you?

I've heard a few interpretations, what makes sense to me, is, Gold for God Incarnate, Frankincense for Jesus' Priestly Life, and Myrrh for the Bitterness of His Death.

Much love!

My favorite part is years after the actual birth... Noting we are still in Luke Chapter 2 as so little is recorded of Jesus's childhood...

40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. - Luke

Always trying to imagine the 12 years with family. And how his mother must have wondered of the child she had brought into the world. And even Jesus's aunt, Mary's mother, must have wondered and saw about the child as well. For it is written...

Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. - John 19:25

The bible doesn't tell us that they were kings, or that there were three of them. Also, Matthew tells us that Jesus was anything up to 2 years old when the wise men visited, and he wouldn't have been in the manger:

“Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.” (Mt 2:16 NKJV)
