Erich Wolfgang Korngold :
The composer who wrote this piece, was one of the last, if not the last Composer who was connected to the true "classical" linage that began with Bach, and Haydn, and Mozart, and extended to Beethoven, tho Beethoven was always "coloring outside the lines" as he got older.
Korngold eventually ended up in Hollywood in the 30s writing movie soundtracks like this one, and also a similar one for another Errol Flynn movie titled "The Sea Hawk".
This music always reminds me of what John Williams wrote for "Star Wars" and similar.
