a good word for those of us (like me) who seek God in His word but sometimes see our righteousness evaporate with the heat of a situation.
As long as we aren't crucified in the outer man, we will get into sin to varying degrees. Our flesh is weak. But the cleansing of our consciences helps us to be thankful to God for His goodness and goes some of the way in bearing at least a fruit of righteousness.

Being prepared for God daily through the washing of water by the word is our duty as believers...especially if we want to obey Christ and be His followers.

"And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ." 2 Thess 3:5

If we wait patiently on the Lord we will eventually be visited by Him. And even if that takes years between such visitations....better is one day in His courts than a thousand elsewhere.

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Rom 15:5-7

Those who are cleansed by the Word....and not just indoctrinated into a false assurance to an unbroken outer man, are likeminded in the way of Christ. Those who have received Christ in the inner man and have no confidence in the flesh or dogmatic religion....are members one of another.

you - it means to walk in holiness and a full victory over sin. So much so that people don't even believe it exists anymore.

We keep on having a different opinion what holiness is.

Walking in holiness does not necessarily mean sinless.

Holiness is being set apart from the world, Scripture :

1Petr 2:1 So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.
1Petr 2:2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—
1Petr 2:3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
1Petr 2:4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,
1Petr 2:5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1Petr 2:6 For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
1Petr 2:7 So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
1Petr 2:8 and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.
1Petr 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Once that was Israel, set apart from the world to be holy, we know how that ended.

There is no sinful holiness.

The New Covenant is not a marker but the real thing. There is a major upgrade from the blood of animals to the blood of Christ.

In fact the difference is absolutely revolutionary. Maybe you didn't get the memo??? The modern church soft-pedals holiness because there is NO real connection to the living God. The kingdom of God is FAR beyond an earthly temple.

4 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Eph 4:24

True holiness is not a marker...it is the fulfillment of the law. It is the culmination of grace....the power to be holy as God is holy.

People misunderstand what holiness is....true holiness. People read ABOUT the New Covenant in the bible without knowing what it is...the power of it in resurrection life. Because of that, the gospel is downgraded to...come as you are and stay as you are...with a few moralistic improvements (that others who don't have any knowledge of God actually do better).

Holiness is about location, location, location. To be seated...to find pasture...to rest in...heavenly places in Zion in the Spirit. In Him is NO sin.

The decoy churches teach a decoy gospel...the "another" gospel that Paul warns us about. There is a war between the Spirit and the flesh And the ones who speak against holiness and the spiritual walk in Christ KNOW they are in the flesh...but they consider that anything higher than what they know must be a fiction. That's how the devil fools people into believing a lie. The truth is that to partake of the holiness of Christ means we have power over all things, because we walk in an intimacy with God so as to be where He is.

Being cleansed by the word doesn't require a degree in theology. It is not a scholarly pursuit...quite the opposite. It requires a simple and child-like faith that many drift away from the more they study the bible. Why is that? A lack of understanding of God's ways.

Adding in the human mind so often corrupts the simple and child-like qualities of a human faith that looks to God for every need.

We are not to live by bread alone... but by everything that proceeds from the mouth of God. That is the way of peace. That is the way of inheriting life.

Most people have no interest in God beyond what He can provide for them today...and what is promised for them in the future. And in a purely temporal world, that is reasonable. If there is NO ACCESS to God in Christ at this time, then all we have is the dew of the morning. A desert has little to no rainfall. The wilderness requires a constant vigilance in regard to staying alive in that place.

Seeking the kingdom means that there is a way out of the wilderness walk into a place that flows with milk and honey. Heaven exists for now. Now is the time to enter into it. In the next age God will dwell with His people on a new earth.

The time to seek the Lord is now. Seek the Lord while He may be found.

No comment on the Scripture I posted, seems clear to me what holiness means in Scripture, not what you made of it, namely, and I quote from your video :

Show me Scripture that confirms what you said -
  1. it means to walk in holiness and a full victory over sin.
  2. So much so that people don't even believe it exists anymore.
Nowhere in Scripture.

But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

So disappointing coming from you. Context is not quoting your "total victory over sin", but context is victory over death, by Christ, nothing to do with us. But let's see -

1Kor 15:50 I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
1Kor 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Kor 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
1Kor 15:53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
1Kor 15:54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
1Kor 15:55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?
1Kor 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
1Kor 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Kor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

Likewise, context has nothing to do with quoting your : it means to walk in holiness and a full victory over sin. So much so that people don't even believe it exists anymore.

For the time will come (and now is) when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Well, you did not provided sound doctrine but cherry picking out of context verses to fit your unsound doctrine.

Criticism aside, I am curious how do you have digest (embraced) the following passages -

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

Matt 7:11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

In other other words, when did you had your Roman 7 experience ?

I am pretty sure every born again sooner or later will have it.

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

I will try to explain the bible to an untrained mind.

The passage above doesn't say....EVERY heart is deceitful. Jesus Himself corrects this notion by calling Nathaniel a man in whom is no guile (deceit)...AND Blessed are the pure in heart...for they shall see God.

What is unsound when reading the bible is finding a favourite verse and have it overturn the BALANCE that holds the truth together in other verses that say the opposite thing.

Most religionists are told to choose one extreme and unbalanced form of doctrine or the other...and because they are unlearned and dishonest...they go for it!!! Anything to be accepted by men. Like lambs to the slaughter. Uncrucified flesh is EASILY manipulated by the cleverness of the lie. And the devil holds the keys.

When trying to correct these duped ones with a balanced truth, they will react thinking they are being confronted with the opposite extreme.

If I am merciful towards others, some will say I'm too inclusive... and charge me with the "heresy" of inclusivism (whatever that is)...and that's because they are not merciful and full of pride. And if I speak of the higher walk in victory over sin, others will say I'm being elitist. Like a Calvinist.

So which is it?

They couldn't pin Jesus down to one extreme or the other and they can't pin down a disciple of His either.

So the truth reveals a lack of balance (and reality) in those who read their PREFERENCE into the word. People read themselves into the text. So a deceitful person will not allow that others might be pure-hearted. They accuse others of what they are.

We see this ALL THE TIME here.

God HATES a false balance. He hates the lie. He is a God of truth.
Matt 7:11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

In other other words, when did you had your Roman 7 experience ?

I am pretty sure every born again sooner or later will have it.
Romans 7 is about trying to follow Christ without being crucified in the flesh...without the power of God to strengthen a man. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. But the flesh has to get out of the way. Otherwise we will walk as any man...OUTSIDE the presence of God.

This would be the same DEATH that we are escaping when we call on the the name of the Lord in Romans 10!
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Wisdom would then have us: (2 Peter 1:10)
"... give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:",
so that we avoid "outer datkness", which isn't death. ;)

And perhaps the verse you were expecting from @Episkopos was this one from Revelations 3:
21 "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."

And my question to you is, do you understand what we are to overcome?

I don't understand why people can't admit that Christ can give total victory over sin but we fail to achieve it because we are carnal and disobedient. We need to cry out for mercy.

How do you see this verse?

Ro 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

I asked for Scripture and it was not there.

That's all I have to say.

Rev 2:10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Be well.

The devil swallows up new believers by indoctrinating them ....inoculating them from the truth by redefining words and using unbalanced interpretations that deny holiness AND righteousness. And one that indoctrination takes root it is almost impossible to dig up. It requires burning to remove it.

If we are filled with the Spirit we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

People claim to be Spirit filled even as they sin. The truth is made to conform (is lowered) and to fit into the reality on the ground..which is based on unbelief.
