The daily sacrifice is daily. If you claim Jesus is that daily sacrifice, rather than the once and for all sacrifice He actually made, then prove it
I see. Sure:
The pattern or plan was first revealed by God in the seven days of creation, six days of God working, fallowed by His (eternal) rest. Within that prophetic foreshadowing revelation the terms were "
daily", as "
the evening and the morning", defined or explained as dividing "
the light from the darkness"
...which is true of every day from the beginning unto the end of time.
According to Daniel's prophecy the details of the fulfillment of the above preview by God, in the fulness of time Jesus the Messiah would come during His day and hour as "
the light shines in the darkness" (John 1:5) after the pattern of the times revealed in creation. Notice, the verse ends in John 1:5 saying,
"and the darkness did not comprehend it"--which is still the case even to this day, as is evident in my having to explain it--to those who still do "
not comprehend it." Daniel's prophecy indicated that the time of His coming and sacrifice would be "
in the middle" of the times. I am not going to do the math for you--because it was intentionally given to "
confuse", prolonging the days "
until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled" which were also included. But--very basically--there were roughly 4,000 times before, and 2,000 times after Christ: the six times of work divided, short of the seven times, "
shortened; for the elect's sake" (which most do not factor into their math, causing a multitude of errors). But that is not the point--best to stay close to the original, unconfused words first given.
Following Christ, at Pentecost, began a more distinctive and revealing demonstration of the dividing of "
the light from the darkness" introduced by Jesus as the distinct need to be "
born again of the spirit of God." Which then was "
daily" per person, "
but each in his own order" as eluded to by Paul (still under the "
restraint" of "
confusion"). Which Jesus had arranged--per person--saying, "
take, eat, this is my body" equating His own "
day" and "
hour" with those "
in Him" in their own times. Which He has been doing by that individual, per person process, as He explained, saying "
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
For which the warning was given:
"And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44 Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few" (Luke 12:42-48).
