He paid the price and returned to heaven to prepare a place for us. If He follows Jewish custom, He comes for the church when our home is prepared and the Father tells the son to fetch HIs bride.
Matthew 24:29-30KJV
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Three and a half years, is simply a way of giving definition by times, regarding an event of God in whom there is no passing of time.

In other words, God began His explanation demon-strating 7 times (the days of creation) foreshadowing all of history, and then prophetically foretold that salvation would come in the middle (three and a half...days, weeks, or years). All of which is better understood without the worldly terms of days and weeks and years, as simply, "a time, times, and half a time", meaning: "all of time, made up of two times, divided in half."

Thus, Christ came between the times of Israel and the times of the Gentiles.

Revelation 12:14 (NJB)
14 but she was given a pair of the great eagle's wings to fly away from the serpent into the desert, to the place where she was to be looked after for a time, two times and half a time.

QUOTE:
12:14 wings of a great eagle.
Not actual birds’ wings, but a graphic depiction of God’s providential protection of Israel (cf. Ex. 19:4). Wings often speak of protection (cf. Deut. 32:9-12; Ps. 91:4; Isa. 40:31). Eagles—probably vulture-like griffins—were the largest birds known in Palestine. a time and times and half a time. Three and one-half years; the second half of the Tribulation. (cf. v. 6; 11:2, 3; 13:5).
The MacArthur Bible Commentary.
END QUOTE:

QUOTE:

12:14 The faithful Jewish remnant is given two wings of a great eagle, enabling it to escape quickly to its wilderness hideout. (Some have conjectured that these wings speak of a great Air Force.) There the remnant is cared for and protected from the serpent's attacks for three and one half years (a time, times, and half a time).
Believer's Bible Commentary: A Thorough, Yet Easy-to-Read Bible Commentary That Turns Complicated Theology Into Practical Understanding.

QUOTE:

As Israel was in the wilderness forty years, and had forty-two stages in her journey, so the Church for forty-two months, three and a half years or times [literally, seasons, used for years in Hellenistic Greek (Moeris, the Atticist), Greek, "kairous," Da 7:25; Da 12:7], or 1260 days (Rev. 12:6) between the overthrow of Jerusalem and the coming again of Christ, shall be a wilderness sojourner before she reaches her millennial rest (answering to Canaan of old).
A Commentary: Critical, Experimental, and Practical on the Old and New Testaments.
END QUOTE:

QUOTE:

So not all of Israel is destroyed. Some are protected
for the three and one-half years ("time, times and half a time"). This would be the second part of the three and a half years when Satan is allowed to unleash his fury.

You are looking downward. Quoting out in the weeds of times is only an explanation in worldly terms and context. To the contrary, I have explained in Godly terms, in whom there is no passing of time.

Believe what you want to, I will believe what the Bible says.

Here you reveal that you only "believe." But I do not "believe", I "know."

Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.

I Disagree, you "Think" you know

What we have here are two pots telling each other that they are the blackest pot in this disagreement as to who is the most knowledgeable.

It is so sad in a way that they cannot agree even on the fundamentals. They are only black because of the sooty smoke from the fire that they hankering/hang over.

You can't grasp it so you try and make it out to be an allegory, you better step back sir. That is a warning, God is good and mad, and there is coming a 1260 day period of Wrath, no matter what you think. PERIOD

Your take on all this is a popular one among men, mine is not.

As for you accusation and misgiving of "allegory"-- what did you think man being made in the image of God is?

It means God imparted His Spirit into us and we knew NO SIN, just like Jesus knew no sin.

We messed that up. The IMAGE is referring unto us being immortal beings with a conscious. Not to us being God the Father, Jesus is not God the Father, he is God the son, but is the express image of the Father.

You (and the many) are not "rightly dividing the word of truth." You are not dividing the "dust" of creation and birth of men of flesh from that which is born of the spirit and is thus of God.

Contrary to popular belief, the "image" created in mankind is made up of the same elements ("dust") of all creation...the future and fate of which God has not kept secret, but has openly said is to be "dissolved" by "fire." That is what is written--and what it means is that all of creation (mankind included--"but each one in his own order") is only sketches of revelation "here a little, there a little" leading up to the end reality of God for good and evil.

All of which was "not lawful to say", until now. Those who have an ear, let them hear.
