Okay... I appreciate the help. You guys/gals have every right to be entitled to your opinion, but we're getting off topic here. All I wanted to know was if Alpha was something biblical, not whether or not counseling was biblical.

Counseling is fine, as I said, at least biblical counseling (from the bible alone). Alpha is from psychology, clinical psychology, and that is not just not biblical, but anti-biblical. I can't really split the answers, it's the same topic.

How is clinical psychology, anti-biblical? Does this mean that psychology is incompatible with Christianity?

That's right, it's not, just like Hoekstra and McGee said. It's humanism, may as well mix in Wicca and Shintoism among other things as it undermines just the same. It's the new "self" gospel. Very dangerous.
