That which is flesh is flesh -and that which is Spirit is spirit.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. - John 3:6.
This is a portion of separation - seeing that which is born of the flesh (natural birth) and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (a spiritual birth - a birthing or born again - a birthing has taken place in both instances).
Why is seeing the process of being born so important? Because if you don't understand how you became to be who you are (by a birthing in both instances) then you can never get settled to know who you are. Paul used the word "established" for knowing who you are - Peter used it as well;
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. - 1 Peter 5:10.
We always maintain that the two most important things in scripture you can come to as a believer is;
1) The Two Nature's in scripture - the sin nature and the nature of God which is in Christ - the two Adam's in scripture "first Adam and last Adam" and seeing how God only handles humanity based on either the first Adam meaning; if you're not a believer he handles you accordingly and if you are in the second Adam then he handles you differently based on the second Adam. When we think we are dealt with as just a 'individual' it's not a good way to think because he does handle me based on my understanding but he does that from the standpoint of being in the first Adam or the last Adam. Very important to see that.
2) The Birthing 'you must be born again' that opens up scriptures. In the study of anything you give certain points that; 'tell all of the point' a name known as "keys." What makes key's so important? like any keys - when studying anything it opens up the subject to you. It is a key to open up a door or unlock a door (Paul referred to the eyes of it our understanding - as keys). The words "born again" in scripture is what is referred to as "keystone" which means; you cannot live without it in any subject if you are going to know that particular subject. The 'keystone' opens up everything "it is the master key" so to speak and gets to the conclusion of a matter.
And the mind opens up, the Holyspirit see's to it (the Holyspirit is in the soul of the believer as the teacher - the only teacher there is - no man can teach Christ' it comes by revelation only) and revelation begins - it pinpoints exactly what it is the scriptures have to say on a subject and opens up all scripture to a believer. Not that we will know it all and understand it all - that is not what it is for, it is for leading you into the most weight of scripture, it is going to lead you in the right direction, it gives the Holyspirit something to work with, it free's the mind to be able to live and move and have our being. Seeing this particular subject is above any other subject that is available for believers to understand.
We would emphasize: the Death Burial Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God as written and prophesied in all scripture and in the mind of God before anything was created is the message of scripture. To the unregenerate it is the most important thing they can read in Scripture. Bless you as the scriptures open up to you and grip you to lead you in your understanding.
