Did Jesus die the Second Death?

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 New King James Version (NKJV)For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

All have died, just not everyone has come to newness of life waking up from that dead state.

Now there is much in the Bible about going to the grave when you die, but this is just the death appointed to all.
Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

But we have in the scripture what is the the second death which is the penalty for sin...
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Did Christ die the second death on the cross, and can you give Biblical backing for this.

No He did not. the second death is reserved only for unbelievers and is to be cast alive and immortal into the lake of fire.
