Jesus died for everyone and for no one in particular. That is, from the foundation of the world, Jesus died for the" justification of life" for ALL, Ro 5:18. 2Cor 5:19-20 describes it like this: "God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself," and yet we as individuals need to reconcile ourselves to God. In just 2 verses, what God has done and what man must do in salvation are given.
Does this not answer the question of who did Christ die for? Everyone in the sense of allowing us to live in this earth even though we have sinned* .. yet no one is justified in heaven until he has repented, reconciling himself to God.
* God considers any trespass against Him and His kingdom as if it were treason or desertion - punishable by death. Your soul has turned against God, too, and you are responsible for the death of your soul .. to which you must answer to God in judgment.
This is not just another theology, folks. This is the Bible.
